    Tree branches at the NW corner constitute a very dangerous obstruction of oncoming eastbound traffic and hinder safe negociation of this T-intersection. I'm unsure if the tree(s) are on city or private land, but something should be done to trim the branches from over the roadway. Another more permanent solution could be to install a convex traffic mirror on top of the traffic warning sign on the south end of the intersection.

    The "Chase Restaurant" has sat vacant for a number of years. This is a great location and renovation of this property into an operating restaurant to serve the surrounding neighborhoods, Alabama A&M, Drake State Technical College, and the businesses in the vicinity would prove to be a very lucrative business venture and remove a constant eyesore from Meridian Street North's curbside.

    There needs to be a yield sign at this merging lane. Currently there is no sign and some drivers treat the lane as an all-way stop like the rest of the entries into the intersection, and other drivers don't stop or yield at all-driving straight through it.
