6620-6698 Skyline Boulevard Oakland, California - Forestland
A bike route guide sign and pole have fallen down. The assembly appears to be intact and it's lying against the hillside. It looks like the pole just needs to be sunk back into the ground. Here's a streetview image of the sign assembly: https://www.google.com/maps/@37.847731,-122.2011543,3a,75y,345.75h,70.26t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1soVrE_b-dfB9oyC-eZQsgdw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en.
  • 2201-2241 Tunnel Road Oakland, California - Claremont
An EBMUD gate pot recently had some asphalt patching around it. But the patch sticks up above the surface of the roadway, creating a bump. The bump is on a blind curve in the downhill direction on Tunnel Rd. It creates a significant issue for bicyclists. Weaving around it means going into the oncoming lane. Riding over the bump has caused my wheels to leave the pavement - pretty scary when going around the curve. In the photograph, the bump is the asphalt patch in the center of the lane. The location is marked accurately on the map. Note the white hose coming off of the hill. The location is mid-way between streetlight # N4318 & streetlight # N4252.
  • 420 13th St Oakland, CA - Downtown
Please replace the storm drain inlet grate immediately in front of 420 13th St (in the driveway) with a grate that cannot catch bicycle tires. Thank you!
  • 5701-5799 Macarthur Boulevard Oakland, California - Frick
A storm drain inlet grate has slipped off to the side, leaving a gap in the inlet that could trap a bicycle wheel. The inlet is on westbound MacArthur Blvd at 58th Ave, far-side of the intersection (along the Mills College frontage).
  • 3751-3799 Broadway Oakland, California - Mosswood
On southbound Broadway at 38th St, there is a broken utility lid / gate pot in the right side travel lane immediately south of the crosswalk. The lid has fallen into the opening, leaving a hole in the road.
  • 350 Grand Ave Oakland, California - Adams Point
The storm drain inlet grate on Grand Ave at Perkins St on the northwest corner has slipped leaving an opening into the inlet that is an issue for bicyclists.
  • 5900 College Avenue Oakland, California - Rockridge
A bike route route sign on westbound Chabot Rd approaching College Ave is down. The pole sheared off at its base. The pole and signs are on the sidewalk. The signs are bent but it appears that they could be reused. The location is on Chabot Rd, headed from Presley Way towards College Ave, immediately before College Ave.
  • 1703 Telegraph Avenue Berkeley, California - Downtown
The bike rack at 1703 Telegraph Ave has come loose from the sidewalk. It's unclear if the rack was hit or tampered with. The sidewalk may need to be repaired.
  • 125-199 Bay Place Oakland, California - Adams Point
There's a bike route sign missing from southbound Bay Pl approaching Grand Ave. Specifically the D11-1 blade (bike route) is missing. The D1-1b blade (with destinations) is still there. (Note that the accompanying photo was taken before the sign went missing.)
  • 6500 Broadway Oakland, California - Upper Rockridge
Two bike route signs were hit with graffiti and then someone painted over the graffiti with grey paint, covering over the messages on the signs. The signs are located on both sides of one pole, near Lake Temescal on Broadway, where Broadway intersects the Lake Temescal Path (that connects Broadway to Broadway Terrace).
  • 336 W Macarthur Blvd Oakland, CA - Oakland Ave-Harrison St
The traffic signal at Broadway/MacArthur Blvd didn't detect me last night for making the left turn from northbound Broadway onto westbound MacArthur Blvd. Details: It was around 8:00pm and I waited in the center of the lane behind the limit line through a complete signal cycle. Thanks!
