According to the Waste wizard on the Malden website, microwaves are allowed to be left out. They are not supposed to be bagged. I put one out on the sidewalk last night and it wasn’t taken with this morning’s garbage.

95 Glen is putting their garbage out more than 24 hours in advance. They did this last week and we ended up with their garbage ripped open all over the sidewalk because of raccoons.

Part of the roof or the shutters fell off this house on the corner. The laundromat? Blocking the sidewalk. There are 3 inch nails sticking up all over it.

The flippers renovating this house missed their dumpster when throwing out stuff on Friday. There's a big pile of broken glass in the sidewalk. I pity whoever tries to walk their dog this way.

Some cords fell from a lightpost and are all over the roads and sidewalk. This could easily get caught up in someone's tires and pull the whole thing down.

The pothole has widened considerably since I took the picture 3 days ago. When cars hit it, it sends a wave of water about 5 feet high all over the sidewalk. Right now, with the cold, that's all turning to ice. This morning, the sidewalk, about a 10-foot stretch, was coated in an inch thick sheet of ice.

There's a crazy amount of water coming out the ground. It's covered about a ten foot long span of sidewalk and it's about two feet wide in the road. Of course, with the weather, it's all ice currently. I think it's about half a foot deep of ice in some places. I'm not sure where in the ground it's all coming from, but that much water everywhere can't be normal. It's also a tremendous hazard. Pedestrians literally must walk on a huge section of ice. They can't even go around they ice because it also covers so much of the road.

For some reason, the garbage collectors have left behind some of the larger trash from the apartment complex at 260 Washington. First, about two weeks ago, it was a large couch. A few days after that a large dresser was added. This building has it's garbage collected every two days, so clearly there's no intention to remove the subdued furniture by either party.

I spoke with the property owner where the water is coming from. She's previously had someone out to look and they said it was a city pipe leaking. The property owner in front of the sidewalk has put out sand and roped off the area covered in ice. I've still got a slicked over driveway though and the ice continues all the way down the road after the blocked section of sidewalk.
