Thank you for attempting to make So. Cambridge St. drivable. It lasted briefly, until it rained. Really rained.
I have to drive so slowly that my speedometer doesn't even register. I've already had to repair my cars rear suspension bushings.
This is a daily aggravation. I find myself avoiding trips to various parts of the island so as not to drive on So. Cambridge. I have an alternate route but that's just as bad.
Between $900 & $950 million is expected in real estate sales in 2014. There isn't enough money in the budget of the DPW to fix, not repair, the roads on which many of us drive? What happens if a fire truck or ambulance drives down one of these poorly maintained roads. Those extra minutes can make such a difference.

    S. Cambridge St is a mess again. A neighbor sent photos in and was told that the weather must be a certain way before it is grated again. It was done before the last Nor'easter so we knew it wouldn't hold. Gravel was mentioned. What gravel? There's perhaps a cup of gravel on the entire street. The road needs to be crowned so the water runs off as was recently done on Hinckley Lane. How about a solution instead of wasting your time and tax dollars on a temporary fix which only last a few weeks at best. The enclosed photo was taken on Nov 7, 2014. After the last rainstorm on Nov 17 the road is now impassable. Thank you
