"They" as in the people who posted the sign.

I didn't think YOU were joking Christopher, I thought maybe THEY were being sarcastic/joking.

Could it possibly be a sarcastic joke? Has anyone actually tried calling the number?

Also, because of this, it forces a blockade at the light so people crossing over Fountain to get to Whalley can not proceed as long as traffic going up central is present.

Well, I guess its a disagree on this point. I think the lights are fine. Im there daily and have had no issues. Its a terrible design of the intersection, there are going to be some pitfalls to the lights to accommodate the horrid design of the 2 intersections (on Fountain at Dayton and Vista) that this one light has to accommodate.

I am in this intersection at least once a day - often many more than that. This is just part of driving on a busy road. I dont see the need to waste the money on that intersection, especially when the one at RT22 is horrendous and dangerous. Backup is going to happen at any intersection, especially the main drags. Just part of driving the roads.

Westville Mom - I don't know who you are yelling at - it certainly cant be me considering I wasnt the one who started the thread and was simply giving information to the house in question. If you want to be considered productive in SCF - then how about actually participating by giving helpful suggestions, without all the hostility, or maybe take it upon yourself to do the very thing you keep suggesting to others. All of your posts wreak of hostility, abusive and condescending behavior to others, and antagonizing comments - not someone anyone would take seriously. Have you noticed a lot of your posts go missing? Maybe think about why! What good is it to post if they will just disappear and make no difference to anyone?

This post is not meant to cut you down but maybe get you to turn your negative presence into one we can all enjoy and actually take in what you have to say. Because as of right now, your posts are not productive, helpful or acknowledged in a positive way.

I think what Arthur is trying to say is that because the street is not plowed curb to curb, it forces cars who park on the street to be IN the street, giving less space between the parked cars and the driveways on the opposite side.

Looking at the picture, if I was coming out of the driveway (at the bottom of the picture) I wouldnt have enough room to turn into the street without hitting a car (IOW the grey car in the picture) across the street from that driveway or getting into a stuck-situation.

Basically, the street needs to be plowed curb to curb so that cars can get in and out of their driveways safely.

If its the house I am thinking of (white/dark green), house is for sale and unoccupied. Responsible party has not been present after any of the snow falls/storms we have had. I believe this property is managed by the bank, not private owners.

This is very sad Hill Resident - I know the area well and with all the apartment dwellers who have on street parking, where are cars supposed to go to allow plowing? They should find a way to open the lots so that this can happen. I know they havent been by the "smaller streets" even when there were cars off the road. What a joke. Good luck HR!

LOL Dorothy! Good job! Glad youre safe.

Thank you Greg for your time and attention to public complaints. Its not an easy job I know but it shows that you are listening - so thanks!

Everything at the top has been deleted - dont even know what this thread is about anymore. Robn - maybe repost in a new thread? Its sad that people who wish to come on here to attack has ruined SCF - I notice this all over SCF and that its getting worse. Im just sorry it ruined your post Robn. I guess try again?

Thanks Greg for at least commenting here. I truly appreciate your time and attention to our disdain. Just showing up here means someone is listening even if the Mayor isnt following through with his duties.

Dorothy - the streets I have seen well maintained are state owned streets, downtown and bus routes. If they dont fall into these categories, Im seeing we cant count on the officials to do their job (not you Greg but those above you). And we have ANOTHER snow fall coming tonite I hear? Three layers of snow falls without any plowing - which means ice or very hard snow for starters and an even more mess that the rest of us have to deal with. Im wondering how the high-officials neighborhoods look. Im willing to bet completely clean and manageable.

Again, lines indicate one car width plowed. Virtually no parking on street is available despite almost all apartment-living.

The yellow stripes indicate what was plowed - enough for just one car to pass through - note the parking areas have not been plowed at all. This is an area that has almost all apartment living and a huge percentage of on street parking only.
