HI Nancy. I need to bring up my Issue ID#1343809 that was filed in 10/14. The landlord in question to this still has not fixed the floors to this day. Our lease came up in May and we made an agree nt with him to pay full rent till Sept 2015 if he got the floors fixed. Now we have got a letter to vacate premises with no option to renew lease on Sept 30th 2015. We to tend to move for the better as so many issues with the landlord come up and he does not fix them or acknowledge it.
My question is? Even though I'LL move. What would be options to have him get this floor fixed.
Refer to pictures of issue id# Bare wood floors. With no covering. Always getting splinters in feet.

I know you made contact with him to get it resloved. Only thing that happened was he had someone put in some drywall.

Thank you for your time once again

We had a sewer back up the came up both toilets and in the bathroom and shower while we were gone the weekend of July 4th to 6th. Upon returning home we dicovered the back up which flooded into the hallways and bedrooms. Landlord had someone come up within the next few days to a week to fix the problem and check for damage.
Areas were inspected for mold sewage contamination and water damage. This process took about 3 days so we had to stay in an hotel. They had to remove floor tiles, carpet, door trim and drywall in hallways ,bathroom, and bedrooms. Since then our landlord has not done anything to fix it. Has had one person come out for an estimate over a month ago. We don't have any privacy while using the bathroom due to missing drywall and door trim. Have bare wood floors in hallways which we get splinters once in awhile.
Our rent was $1800 a month. We asked our landlord about paying $1500 per month till its fixed. We also have a serious roach problem outside and we have asked to an exterminator come out.
Landlord keeps giving false promises to get things fixed. Now going on 4 month with little to nothing being done.
So therefore I felt the need to file a complaint with the housing, building code offices since this is in the codes of loss of use of rooms. ( privacy of bathrooms and bedrooms). Need to know if we can have this inspected and how to proceed with complaint with landlord.
