A dotted line in the intersection is needed to indicate that drivers should REMAIN in their lanes. As a cyclist I have almost been hit/run over on a WEEKLY basis by drivers changing lanes. There is not enough indication via signage or road paint to indicate that you can not change lanes mid intersection.
