Other Archived350 Nw 175th St Shoreline WA 98177, United States - ShorelineAttractive nuisance: folks have moved logs to create seating that is perfect for sitting around a campfire. I encountered kids trying and they stopped when asked. It's been wet and no one has tried to start a fire for a while. But warm dry weather is coming and this fire circle is surrounded by dead brush and dead tree limbs overhead. Could someone move the logs a ways away from the area to discourage someone starting a campfire?

98177 Seattle, WA, USA - ShorelineSingle White Male, 30's, brown hair and eyebrows, no facial hair, light skin. Has a blue 2-3 person square tent pitched in Boeing Creek Park near the ravine west of Pond Loop trail, following the first minor path to the left past the trash can and first bench (if you enter from the east side of the park. The camper indicated he had been at Bitter Lake, was anticipating HUD housing, and had tried to get along with a brother but now there was a protection order. The man said he was going to look for a better place in the park to make camp, which suggests he intends to stay a while. I did not take a picture of his camp. As I left the park, the camper had gone to meet the grey pickup truck pictured behind the black vehicle that has been abandoned and tagged by the police. There was no license plate on the truck. The camper returned to the park with two people from the truck, a male and female, both light skinned, about 30 years, and they were carrying things into the park in their arms and also in a cart the camper had brought with him. The people who arrived in the truck left about 15 minutes later. The people in the truck may be irrelevant, other than apparently bringing more things for the camper and strengthening the idea the camper intends to stay. We have seen an increase in homeless activity adjacent to the northeast corner of Boeing Creek Park, usually people living in cars. There is a drinking water source, but no toilets, and human waste has been an issue. This park has a lot of visitors daily.

Large beams lay across path making it difficult to navigate if you have mobility limitations or have to manage a cane or a dog or a toddler. Accessibility issue.
I believe people place the beams on this section of path because it collects so much water from the off leash area, and they use the beams as a bridge. The problem was reported in the past, and the beams were moved to the side of the path and a load of large jaggedy and jiggly rocks were dumped. That helped, mostly, and was much appreciated. But now the rocks are sunk in the mud, the path is flooded, and since the beams were still close to hand, a bridge for some but a barricade for others has been rebuilt.
it is a well used path, so it would be very helpful if the beams could be moved (perhaps taken away?) and another load of rocks and or gravel applied.
Many thanks.
