There are trees and bushes that are overgrown here, and all along this block of Harrington.

These crosswalk signals were installed at the corner of Hillsborough St and West St a few months ago but haven't been activated yet. It would be a big help to those in the area if they could be turned in, ir if we could get a response to why they're not being used yet. Thanks!
  • 10 North Boylan Avenue Raleigh, North Carolina - Hillsborough
There is a shrub on the northeast corner of Boylan Ave and Hillsborough St that is 1) blocking the sidewalk and 2) making it very hard to see oncoming traffic when you're trying to make a right turn from Boylan onto Hillsborough. Just needs a little trim.
  • 700 Glenwood Avenue Raleigh, North Carolina - Glenwood-Brooklyn
This building recently had 2 signs installed in the front windows. The signs are digital displays that rotate advertisements, flash and I think show short video clips. They're very large (almost the size of the whole window) and seem like they might be in violation of the sign ordinance. I understand why it's a great place to advertise as there are lots of people always waiting at the light on both streets, but also feel that it's probably very distracting to drivers who already have a lot to think about at a very busy intersection. I don't know if a single business occupies the buildling or if the owner is just renting out the windows for advertising.
Any info on if this is allowable would be great. Thanks!

The bus stop sign (at least I think it was a bus stop sign, could've been some other kind of sign - couldn't tell because of it was face down) with the trash can attached to the pole in front of the Zaxby's is lying in the sidewalk. I apologize if this has already been reported, but couldn't find the issue when I searched.
  • 250-398 West Peace Street Raleigh, NC 27603, USA - North Central
On Peace St, just passed the Capital Blvd bridge there is a black sticker over the "9" on the sign saying "Right lane must turn right 7am -9am"
  • 201 Glenwood Avenue Raleigh, NC 27603, USA - Hillsborough
The "No Left Turn Train" sign on Glenwood Ave at the intersection of Jones St is only 1/2 lit. The bottom 1/2 of the word "turn" is out and the word "train" is completely out.
  • 8551 Colonnade Center Dr Raleigh, NC - Raleigh Council District A
Crossing Colonnade Dr. at this location is very difficult. There is a crosswalk, but it's not very visible and not well respected by motorists even when someone is already crossing. Many people from the adjacent office buildings cross here to access the shopping center and bank (especially at lunch) and it's just not a good situation. Adding to the issue is that there are many turning movements (in to/out of the offices and in to/out of the shopping center) so there's a lot for a pedestrian to process in order to cross safely.
It would be great to have this crosswalk painted with ladder-style markings to increase visibility. It would be even better to have some sort of signage to let motorists know to yield to and be alert for pedestrians, but I know we need to start small.
