one of the ponds at Strickland Road Neighborhood Park has a sheen on its banks. It's a pretty rainbow, but I'm guessing that it's some sort of contamination.
  • 100 East Cabarrus Street Raleigh, North Carolina - Central
It's great to see the new bike lanes added on S Wilmington Street and in other areas of the City!
At the Cabarrus / Wilmington intersection, the pavement markings for vehicles exiting the parking deck (south of Bank of America building) are confusing for motorists traveling northbound on Wilmington Street. With the bike lane added on the east side, and the 2 travel lanes shifting to the west, the mini-skips in the intersection appear to be shifting the left lane into the right travel lane. I walk by this intersection as part of my commute, and have seen some close calls with cars almost crashing into each other. It appears that some mini-skips may need to be added in the intersection to guide motorists into their correct lane.
