This building, Parcel 116-037, owner Cassandra Fontes, TR as listed in the Assessors Database, has been an eyesore for years. It is time to address this ugly stain on our Campello quality of life by putting it on the Quality of Life Task Force To-Do List, and compel the owner to clean up the lot, make improvements to the facade, and respect our neighborhood by resolving this issue.

There is a small dead rabbit on the strip of grass in front of my house that runs parallel to the street that needs to be removed. thanks.

There are a number of trees along the city sidewalk that have iron protective cages around them. They are on Main and run from about Market Street north to E Nilsson Street. The grass around each has become overgrown, and small shoots and branches near the base of the trees are unsightly and need trimming. I have been trying to do a couple of them a day with my weedwhacker and clippers as I plant the whiskey barrels with flowers, but I am getting slower and slower. Photo of the one I cleaned up in front of M&M Seafood is attached, Could someone take a look and see if they can be tidied up and trimmed? Thanks

Mr. Craig Pina, a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, has slandered my efforts, my neighbors' efforts and the efforts of two of my city councilors for voicing our opinion at a recent public meeting concerning a proposed development on Summer Street in Campello. Mr. Pina has resorted to posting memes about elected officials and candidates for office that violate any semblance of the ethical conduct expected of a person who represents the City of Brockton. A cursory review of Facebook will uncover his disregard for the reputation of Brockton as a City of Champions. His conduct is not limited to this particular incident and will show a pattern of beahvior harmful to the City. I am requesting that the Board Chair Mr. Galligan and the Mayor investigate this matter and begin the process of removal, by first asking him to step down from the Board, and then if necessary, to have him removed. If Mr. Pina wants to exercise free speech, let him do it as a private citizen. Brockton is better than this.

Please pass along our thanks to DPW for helping us by removing the damaged planter barrels along Main Street from Perkins north to Nilsson. It will help our volunteers a lot when we put the tree tops into the planters on Nov 17th in anticipation of the holiday season. Keith Park Neighborhood Association

Little Free Library in the Douglass Community Garden was damaged sometime between 5 pm on Wed July 25 and 8 am Thurs July 26; would like to see if the surveillance cameras in the area can tell us what happened.

Vagrants chased me out of the community garden at 11 am and because I had my Mom with me I left and called BPD. At 4 pm I went back alone and cleaned up the mess they left behind. Beer cans, liquor bottles, alcohol wipes, needle plungers, robber tourniquets, human feces, a variety of discarded clothes. This lawless behavior cannot be tolerated. Please increase your patrols in this area and when you see them drunk and disorderly, arrest them.

An underground repair was done, perhaps to the water or sewer connection in the street, and now the patch to the road is sinking. A number of cars have lost hubcaps as they go over the patch. And as each car goes over the patch, the sound and vibration travel up the pipes and into the neighboring homes. Could you inspect and determine if anther layer of asphalt is needed?

Pole #6 - on Douglass Avenue between Paddy Lane and Warren Ave - because of damage, a secondary pole was strapped to the original one to keep it upright. However, now the safety/floodlight on the top of the pole which illuminates the community garden and Paddy Lane is not working, and the surveillance camera seems to be pointed straight down rather than at the garden and lane. Could you check to see if corrections can be made? Thanks

Despite the signs and ordinance against big box trucks in this lot, M&M continues to use it as a parking lot. At 10 am on 1.27.18, two trucks parked there. At 1 pm, two trucks, at 4 pm 3 trucks. We appreciate the new ordinance and the signage, but The City now has to start to enforce the oridinance and tow these trucks out of the lot so that this illegal parking will end. We have fought this fight for three years now, it is time to take actions that have consequences for the owner or the trucks. Thank you.

The Little Free Library in the Douglass Community Garden was smashed sometime between 12 noon on Saturday Jan 13 and 8 pm Monday on Jan 15th when it was discovered in pieces. We will have a carpenter look at it, but we believe it is damaged beyond repair.

Vagrants and homeless drinking and using illegal drugs are driving away volunteers and people who want to enjoy the community garden in peace. Here is a mesage we received today. Last week a volunteer was accosted, this week a volunteer left afraid. The city needs to take back its streets and make the downtown safe for law-abiding every day citizens.

Malicious vandalism to the planter just north of Centre on Main Street - plants were yanked out of the wrought iron planter and left on the sidewalk to die. Garden Club replanted and watered and will hope for the best. 8.3.17 late afternoon. Is there surveillance camera on the building which we believe is the welfare/benefits office? We need to shame - and then punish - the vandals. Lynn Smith is willing to offer a cash reward for information leading to their identification and apprehension.

This is just part of the debris that we pick up every single morning in the community garden. We call the hotline for needles, or the addicts are taking them with them, but the garden is littered with Choreboy, orange caps, sterile wipes, etc. every single day. Even with the new surveillance cameras there is drinking and drugging in the garden every night. Please enforce the law and shut down this illegal activity. It has gotten worse since Perkins Park was closed.
