There is an area of the road that is sunken in close to the Stop & Shop gas station. It looks as if some utility work was done here recently and the patch is sinking pretty badly. If a car tire hits this hole hard it could do serious damage to it. Are there any plans to resurface Southern Artery? The road is in really bad shape from Furnace Brook Parkway all the way up past the Police station. It’s been a mess since the track was built and gas line replacement near the Furnace Brook end.

Traffic signals on Centre Street at the exit ramp from the highways seems to be off again. I’ve been in back ups coming off of Route 3 that seem extra long to get through this light for about a week now. Once you get through this set of lights Burgin Parkway is pretty clear all the way to Quincy Center. It’s as if the lights at Centre Street aren’t timed long enough on green to let more traffic onto Burgin.

There is a sewer grate that is sinking and causing a serious pot hole in the right lane heading towards the T station from Quincy Center. It's just behind City Hall. I hit it so hard last night I thought I would blow a tire. The only way to avoid hitting this pothole is to ride into the adjacent lane of traffic.

The intersection of Furnace Brook Parkway and Hancock street and also the stretch of road on Furnace Brook between Newport Ave. and Hancock has been marked by what looks to be DigSafe markers and flags indicating something is going to be done in this area. Just wondering if there are any plans for road work in this section. This is a heavily traveled section especially during morning and evening commutes and if so shouldn't there be some sort of public announcement regarding this so commuters can plan to avoid this area. Any updates would be appreciated.

This section of road near the Adams estate between Furnace Brook Parkway and Adams street is in pretty rough condition with potholes.

There are signs posted for road work to begin on Burgin Parkway starting today October 26. Just wondering what type of road work and how long it's expected to last. Hopefully it's being repaved. It would be nice to know if commuters should consider alternate routes.

Wondering if the traffic lights at the intersection of Burgin Parkway and Centre St. have been adjusted recently. The past week traffic has been backing up onto route 3 during the evening commute. It took me almost 20 minutes to get to the light from the route 3 exit. I know it's a busy time of day but it seems like traffic has just been worse lately. The rest of the ride on Burgin has been fine it's just getting to and through that one intersection.

This intersection needs left on green traffic signals for making turns from Furnace Brook Pkwy. to Newport Ave. and Burgin Pkwy. Traffic is backing up all the way to Hancock street in the morning. Also there seems to be a timing issue with the lights some mornings. They either cycle way to fast when green and way too long when red. Again causing backups all the way to the intersection of Furnace Brook and Hancock St.

The MBTA buses are stopping and dropping passengers off at the set of lights at the entrance to the station on Burgin Parkway instead of using the cutout area just beyond the traffic lights. This causes a backup with traffic heading north. I posted about this once before and it seemed better for a while but it's become a problem again.

I was wondering why the guard rail replacement project on Furnace Brook Pkwy. hasn't been completed yet? It was started in the summer and they finished the section between Southern Artery and Quincy Shore Drive and have only completed part of the section between Hancock St. And Southern Artery. What's the status of this and when will it be completed. It looks like a half @#$% job.

The road needs to be fixed at the intersection of Southern Artery and Furnace Brook Pkwy. Right at the corner where the VERC car rental store is. The gas company had made a repair for a leak at this spot several times and the patch in the road is sinking, again. I feel like I'm going to loose a tire everytime I make that right turn into Southern Artey.

Burgin Parkway road surface is a mess from this past winter. Patches of asphalt for long stretches. Just wondering if there are any plans to resurface/repave the road?

The right hand lane of Burgin Parkway next to the Quincy Adams T station has still not been plowed. There are two lanes of traffic exiting the highway trying to merge into one lane on Burgin and causing backups between the set of lights from the off ramp to the entrance to Lowes. Meanwhile the two left turn lanes in this section are clean but hardly anyone is taking a left into Lowes. It's been more than a month since the first storm, should be plowed by now.

Wondering why the intersection of Burgin Parkway and Center street is such a mess. When the new ramps to rt. 3 and 93 were done they paved the section of Burgin from Lowes to where it meets Center st. but the intersection is awful. It's one of the main entrances to Quincy and it's full of potholes. And it just as bad at the T entrance near Home Depot.
