    What a mess!! It blows around the block- Can't they pay to haVe this cleaned up regularly?

    Lots of graffiti along Alter Street on wall of the Family Dollar store and on 17th on the wall of Billows Electric.
    As of 4/27/12: Billows wall has been cleaned up but the the Family Dollar Store is worse and the fire hydrant behind the store was knocked over and now it's gone.

    There's always trash and litter around the Family Dollar store on the corner of 17th and Washington. I've discussed this with the manager and while she was aware of the issue, she said the corporate office hired a company but they only clean up once a month and don't clear trash from the street (which blocks the storm drains)- clearly this is insufficient! Their trash blows down 17th street and we residents are fined! Many of us clean up our sidewalks DAILY or hire someone to sweep up DAILY - So should Family Dollar!

    drinking and yelling on the corner since 8am leaving their beer cans all over the place. this happens quite often!!

    Someone should take a look - it smells very bad when you walk past. I've seen homeless people crawling in/out of the basement windows also. Who knows what's in there besides all the stray cats. Yuk!!
