I am reasonably sure that there is a vehicle sensor stuck on for the left turn lane on the Walgreens/Firestone side of the Brentwood @ Texas intersection.

When I drive through that intersection late at night, it seems as if the light almost always defaults to green for that turn lane, even when no one is there. I have had to wait at that light driving southbound on Texas by myself for very long times more often than coincidence explains.

On the utility pole near the sign for Oak Forest Mobile Home Park, there is a red light flashing on a utility equipment box. It has been flashing for several days now.

This lot has gone unmowed for a very long time, and has dead branches in the ground next to the sidewalk.

This and the adjacent lot have become an eyesore for our neighborhood, especially since they are right at the intersection of Krenek Tap and Texas.

This lot appears to have not been mowed in months.

There is a tree here that goes over the sidewalk in a way that makes it hard to use the sidewalk without walking into the bike lane or ducking to avoid the branch that is well below head-level.
  • 1266-1298 Southwest Parkway College Station, Texas - South Knoll Neighborhood Plan

This intersection is the only controlled intersection on Southwest Parkway that doesn't have a traffic light (it's the only 4-way stop), and because of this it is always a traffic bottleneck on that road.

I understand that the intersection needs to be controlled in some way because of children crossing the street for school, but I feel like a 4-way stop is a very inefficient method of doing that.

I think a traffic signal with pedestrian signals/buttons would be a much more efficient method to manage this intersection that would allow for both traffic management and pedestrian safety, while also making the investment in traffic signals at the intersections of Glade and Southwood more worthwhile.

The point where Southwest Pkwy intersects with Wellborn seems to be a trouble spot for potholes and rough spots on the road. The area has become quite rough again and could use repair.

There is a pothole in the right turn lane turning from the TAMU side of George Bush onto Texas. It has been fixed once but is reopening.

The traffic signal at George Bush & Texas seems to be short-cycling on the northbound left-turn lane from Texas onto George Bush. Only about 4-6 get through before the light switches.
