Sign knocked over.

This illegal sign (once owned by a business that moved away) was originally reported as issue 16308387 and the issue was closed in error by "SAllison". The note stated" "This issue is located on private property, and not the responsibility of Macon-Bibb Public Works to maintain or repair. We can not service private property". As you can see from the GIS snapshot, this illegal sign is slap dab in the middle of the road, on a raised concrete divider and is 100% on the public right-of-way. Please have this illegal sign removed and disposed of properly. Thank you!

This was originally reported as issue #16308417 and was closed in error because "SAllison" stated that the illegal sign was on "private property". In fact, this illegal off-site sign is 100% on the public right-of-way as evidenced by the GIS snapshot attached. The Bowman Road right-of-way is 100' wide (see red measurement line generated by the GIS system) that clearly and unequivocally shows that the illegal sign is on the public right-of-way. Please have this removed and disposed of. Thank you!

Illegal sign owned by a bank in downtown Macon has been placed on the public right-of-way. Please remove and dispose of this sign at the county convenience center on Lower Poplar St.

This two-sided, permanent sign on the public right-of-way (actually on a raised gore) need to be removed and disposed of. The office that it advertises closed and moved over a year ago. The building is vacant.

Multiple campaign signs illegally placed on the public right of way at this intersection. Please remove all of these and dispose of properly in a county roll-off.

This is the FOURTH time this has been reported. The previous report (Issue 16083030) was reported yesterday. Today, I got a reply that stated that "someone from the city told them that their sign was not in the right-of-way". Accepting this false excuse is is a complete sham and failure to perform the duties of a Public Works employee. I am looking directly at the Macon-Bibb GIS and it accurately shows that the signs are illegally in the public right-of-way. In fact, the ROW setback almost touches the 90 degree corner of the parking lot curbing that is closest to the building. Please follow up and remove the illegal signs. If necessary, I will create another issue and attach a photo of the GIS map so that everyone can see it and won't be fooled by some thin "excuse".

Illegal metal advertising sign from an out-of-town company placed on the ROW in violation of Macon-Bibb ordinance 16-11. Please remove and dispose of properly in the metal recycling bin at 1010 Eleventh St.

The dirt and grass have built up on both sides of New Forsyth Road near Sleepy Creek Rd. When it rains, the deep water is a hazard. Can this be graded down to allow natural drainage away from the road? I have placed stakes at each of the most dangerous spots that need attention.

Speed limit sign on Pate Road across from the I-75 South entrance ramp was knocked over. When it is reset, can a 'No Thru Trucks' sign be added to the steel post? This will allow any illegal trucks to turn onto the interstate and not go through Pate Road or Rivoli Drive, which are classified as truck restricted. Thanks!

The proper and correct procedure is to remove illegal signs from the Public Right-Of-Way per state law OCGA 32-6-51 and Macon-Bibb ordinance 16-11. Asking someone to move the sign creates another problem, ...... a violation of Macon-Bibb zoning ordinances (25.04). Conspiring with others to avoid an illegal act and then to create a zoning violation is not only unethical, it is illegal. Public Works employees are supposed to follow the correct procedures and obey the law. Illegal sign on metal posts on the public right-of-way. Please remove sign, remove posts, and dispose of properly in the Macon-Bibb garbage collection roll-offs.

Public Works failed to remove six (6) illegal signs that were clearly on the public right of way last month at this location. The right of way is at least 25 feet behind these illegal signs, which should be removed and disposed of properly at the Convenience Center. There should be no need to make multiple complaints about the same issue.

Illegal advertising sign for Renasant Bank has been erected on large wooden posts. This sign is about 4 feet from the asphalt and is also a road hazard. Please remove and take to the Macon-Bibb Convenience Center and dispose of properly.

This is the THIRD request at this location. See Click Fix stated that M. Beasley and crew removed the sign from the ROW. They did NOT properly dispose of the sign, they pulled it up and propped it up against a permanent legal sign on private property. The proper way is to (a) remove the illegal sign from the ROW, (b) put it in the back of your truck, (c) take it to the Bibb County Convenience Center and place it in a roll-off container. This is the fourth location this week where employees have failed to do their job. There are two other locations on Wesleyan Drive where proper procedure was ignored. This is not acceptable.
