    There is a vacant lot on the corner of 15th & Montrose. A few days ago, someone dumped an a clear garbage bag containing an apple basket. Seems harmless enough, but the stench from this basket is unreal. It is now swarming with flies and birds and other animals are flocking to it. It appears to be heavy and due to the unknown contents, I am not touching it.

    It is not in front of a residence, so the garbage men will not pick it up on trash day.

    Please remove!

    There is a kitchen counter and entertainment center outside of 1501 Montrose Street (15th St. side). The kitchen counter was dumped there last Tuesday.

    The trash day for our neighborhood is Wednesday.

    City No. 4 Inlet has been removed from the SW corner of 15th & Montrose.

    Basically, the copper cover of the storm drain is gone.

    1501 Montrose Street is a nuissance property. It is a mixed use apt/commercial. The bottom floor used to be a laundromat. The area behind the property (on 15th) is a constant source of sanitation violations: garbage bags, old furniture, wood, etc.

    In addition, someone has placed a brown rubbermaid trash can on the sidewalk (on 15th btw Montrose & Christian). This attracts all manner of food waste, old clothes, etc. At this moment, it is overflowing. People see the trash and simply add more to it. Last week there was a filthy mattress dropped off. Yesterday, a discarded car seat.

    The neighbors try to keep the surrounding area clean. There is even a thriving community garden next to all of this garbage.

    It is an eyesore and a health hazard. Neighbors have seen rodents at this location.

    We have called 311 numerous times and the trash can has been emptied once or twice. But this property is a serious violator of sanitation laws and the culprits are making the area miserable for all others.

    Contractors working on property on 15th between Montrose and Carpenter have been dumping construction debris in the breezeway adjacent to 1502 Montrose Street. Spoken to the subcontractors on several occasions to no avail.
