I have posted about this issue 3 previous times over 3 months and the garbage is still there and the garbage containers have not been emptied in 3 months. There are 3 large garbage containers that are full and overflowing. Additionally, there are two regular residential garbage bins that someone places there for overflow that are full. The park is trashed at this point. Are these postings helping. The previous two did not result in any action.
  • Begin Plaza Oakland, California - San Pablo Gateway
Begin plaza is overflowing with trash. The cans are never collected and now there are two additional trash cans overflowing with trash that homeless people are picking through. The city spent 1,000,000 dollars on this park but won't regularly empty the trash cans. I put in a request maybe two months earlier that was acknowleged but never closed out. Hopefully this can be resolved soon.

There are three trash bins that are completely filled and over flowing. The trash has now taken over the park.

Begin plaza has lots of trash from the cell phone kiosks that sell cell phones there every day. The trash receptacles are overloaded and there is trash all over the park. The city sort 1,000,000 on the renovation of the park and it is not being maintained. The kid section of the park is fenced off and unusable. Very sad!
  • 630 Thomas L Berkley Way Oakland California - San Pablo Gateway
Contractors have abandoned about 10 no parking signs and barricades on 20th street between San Pablo and Telegraph. The majority of them are located in front of 630 20th st/ Thomas L Berkley Way near the intersection of San Pablo. Some say PG&E on them Saroni drive from 7/25/16 to 7/25/16 which means they reused old signs. The last time this happened PG&E left them on the street for over two months. Some signs say OB1600903 info 925-674-6477. Please call whomever is responsible for this work and have them remove their signs. Also, there is a dumped trash can filled with debris in front of PG&E substation L next door to 630 Thomas L Berkley. On the backside of Substation L there is an abandoned mattress. Please call PG&E and have them remove these items. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

These pallets, foam packaging, and installation instructions were dumped by Oakland city workers who were installing Lumec street lights. The installation pictures for the streetlights are in the trash. Everything dumped it in front of a PG&E substation. All the papers are blowing in the wind. This will attract more dumping inevitably. I'm thankful for better lighting on this street, but would like this addressed immediately.
