The other day there was 10 - 15 trash barrels located all over the park. Finally as the summer season wrapped up and all the visitors had gone the trash barrels were no longer overflowing with trash. Now this morning all the trash barrels are gone. Is this a seasonal Park? Is Forest River closed for the fall? Did the city need all the trash barrels for downtown in October? Most importantly, why is it okay for this city to consistently neglect residents needs while focusing on visitors, forest, and college students? I know it's only at residence left down here at the park for the winter but how about a little respect for the people that pay the bills in this town let's bring back some trash barrels if that fits your city plan. I would love to hear the reasoning behind this city policy and who is making these decisions

Useless street signs everywhere. I'm sure they cost money to buy and install yet there is zero enforcement...either enforce the laws dictated by the sign or save the money and don't bother putting them up. Brand new signs at forest river "permit parking only" and the lot is still full of Salem state vehicles. Signs in riley Plaza "don't block the box" yet I sit through three traffic cycles because people block the intersection....never seen one ticket written. Step up the enforcement or loose the stupid signs, just reinforces the attitude that people can do whatever they want with no consequences.

Skipped the entire street again...we must be special on my street....maybe so special we shouldn't have to pay for trash removal. What is the problem here....4th time in a couple months. Cue "recycling coordinator"..."blah blah....the best way to report this issue is to call 978-745-we-could-care-less. Hey "recycling coordinator...I actually work for a living and by the time I get home on Friday at 5-6 o'clock, you and the rest of city hall are long gone...probably after lunch. There's nobody to call....and my entire street has trash barrels out all weekend until Monday.

Salem should consider a "take out what you take in" policy like most other local cities. As a local resident, I enjoy the park year round and I am tired of walking through a trash dump most weekends. People over stuff trash cans, animals pick though the garbage, and people often just leave their trash at the picnic tables. Char coal is dumped in piles all over the park, despite the danger to children and pets....it's is ugly. Most cities prohibit and enforce "no charcoal grills" for these reasons. City needs to rehab their park policies and enforce them, especially in the busy summer months. If you trash the park, you should be fined and told to take your trash home with you.....let's go salem, have a little pride. P.S. I appreciate the employees that are there every morning to try to clean up others ignorant messes....but city should be curbing the issue before hand not reinforcing bad behavior.

Second week in a row, entire street missed.
Guess we are going to leave trash barrels on the curb through the holiday weekend until tuesday. Of course WM and city of salem...northside carting all over again! I pay for this service and this is unacceptable

The city plows have not cleared the street once today. I understand there have been several large storms but it seems as though our dead end street has been especially neglected this winter. Last couple of storms we have been snowed in as well, as opposed to steadily keeping up with snowfall like the surrounding streets. We are a dead end hill that needs just as much attention as adjacent streets. I understand there is a lot of snow to clear but it is frustrating to see the plows drive by several times without turning up our hill. Please address this going forward. Thank you

Is this a joke...again this week, there is a pile of crushed glass in the street in front of my house. I'll repeat myself because this issue has obviously fallen on deaf (or disinterested) ears in my past complaints. THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE NORTHSIDE CARTING RECYCLING TRUCKS THAT ALLOWS CRUSHED GLASS TO DUMP OUT(EVERY WEEK) ON THE HILL I LIVE ON. in the past, I have notified several city departments and nobody came out to clean it. I ended up sweeping it up myself but I refuse to do your jobs every week. COME CLEAN UP YOUR MESS and more importantly, GET THOSE TRUCKS FIXED!!!

There is a pile of broken glass in front of my house that fell out of the recycling truck. I want to be clear that it is in no way human error, the glass is not broken when put in the recycling bin by myself or my neighbors and the waste management employees are excellent. There is a problem when dumping tons of glass into a truck... There must be a broken seal or some defect that allows the crushed glass to dump out. This has been somewhat of an ongoing issue and is by no means specific to my street as I noticed the same small piles of crushed glass on surrounding streets

There is a street light out on Ocean Terrace. Think it is the only street light on the street and it has been out for a while. Flickers on and off...very dim when on, often on all day. Thanks.

Seems like there was no sidewalk here for decades. Now in the past year or two...There is. Problem is, it cuts out into the road. Now when truck and cars park here I am forced to cross the yellow line and drive into oncoming traffic....very bad situation!
