    Piles of corrugated cartons & other miscellaneous rubbish is lying openly and uncovered on the sidewalk in front of 548-550 Chapel.

    Whoever put it there is blocking the sidewalk and violating city ordinances which should be enforced.

    Accumulated leaves in gutters and streets have not been swept. This creates dangerous and slippery condition especially when leaves are wet. Also leaves are clogging storm sewers causing water to accumulate. When it freezes streets will be even more slippery.
  • 574 Chapel St. New Haven, CT 06511 - Appomattox County

    The "Yield to Pedestrians" sign formerly at the zebra pedestrian crosswalk near the corner of Chapel St. and DePalma Place was smashed about 10 days ago. Its remains were placed on the sidewalk nearby.

    These signs are useful in slowing traffic near pedestrian crosswalks and this damaged sign should be replaced.

  • 562 Chapel St. New Haven, CT - Wooster Square
    The street light located adjacent to Wooster Square Park & across from 562 Chapel intermittently goes on and off (mostly off). This has been going on for several months. It's a security hazard because this is a high "big" light and the area is really dark when it's off. Reported this to UI (UI is supposed to maintain street lights) & PD several times.
