Construction on Friday 22 March 2024 cut through a Telephone cable serving the neighborhood, multiple phones failed. The cable of 300 copper pairs of wires must be spliced. Verizon cannot get to this until Monday-repair duration uncertain.
FURTHER: A Building Permit, though visible if one could stand 8 feet tall, had no readily visible phone number to call in emergencies.
This is a safety concern, a medical danger, and a dis-service to older persons who depend upon the phone to talk with children and friends.

There are traffic and parking signs on a number of MBTA power poles. These power poles have been retired. When will Cambridge reposition its signs?
When will Cambridge assure that the MBTA will remove its unsightly retired property from our streets. Our streets are not a place for discarded property of anyone.

Again, Eversource is replacing very old gas pipes for safety. (Parenthetically, why was there no discussion of Neighborhood Heatpump energy supply system? This, would require the same street work and, when completed, would produce climate friendly energy for heating and cooling for the whole neighborhood.).
As usual the contractor for Eversource is driving on the verge at corners and even on straight stretches of the neighborhood streets. This time, could our Cambridge inspector of work on our roads assure that all such muddy areas and destroyed grass be carefully leveled and reseeded? Thank you.

This pothole continues to develop.

This crashed DCRS guardrail, at 60 Fresh Pond Parkway, marked with red dots for replacement since August 2023, is a danger to pedestrians, people who bike, and drivers. Could Cambridge, kindly, communicate with the DCR to fix its guardrail and install reflectors on it. Thank you.

Please stripe a “Don’t Block the Box” on the west bound lanes of the intersection Brattle & Mount Auburn Streets . Many times, the right turn-rightt lane of Mount Auburn Street is blocked with carn, while the lefwest bound tlane of Mount Auburn Street is empty.

On Larchwood Drive between Fresh Pond Parkway and Meadow Way there was a young tree. Within the last few weeks, the young tree, its water bags, and the sidewalk tree-sticker were removed. Please plant a new tree. When might that be?

Growing pothole arising from moving a very large steel plate for the gas pipe replacement

This tree is dead. It was planted last fall. No service watered this tree during this spring. The tree with leaves behind the dead tree was watered, the ground is still wet. That tree produced leaves. The dead tree was watered today by me after my outdoor water was turned on. Please plant a healthy new tree during the best season. Fall? Please remove the dead tree. Thank you.

60/62 Fresh Pond Parkway on Larchwood Drive--Multiple issues, previously issued without result. 1) Waiting for SCF action, I had topsoil and seed placed, see picture. However, across the street Cambridge/Eversource has not yet put topsoil and seed from the gas pipe replacement work of a year ago. 2) Within 20 feet of the new topsoil/seed placed by me, are two tree sites: one planted dead, removed by Cambridge, promised new tree but none planted a year later; and another tree site scheduled for planting a year ago but never planted, including the usual topsoil and seed not done yet. All these were recorded on SCF many months ago or longer. Please, when?-
