    Just across the street from 1393 El Centro, Oakland 94602 is the trailhead into Dimond Canyon. Friends of Sausal Creek volunteers pulled trash from the creek and its banks on Sunday, March 17, and left it in the (already overflowing) trash receptacles at the trailhead.

    A few hundred feet south of the driveway into the golf course, at the trash can which is near the entrance to the Bridgeview Trailhead, volunteers for Friends of Sausal Creek placed a bed spring (cot size), satellite dish, large piece of a car engine, bags of rocks, boards from a broken fence, etc -- all hauled out from near the creek.

    Just across the street from 1393 El Centro, next to the Sausal Creek sign, there are several bags of trimmings. Volunteers cut back invasives in the Canyon. All these bags are "Green Bin worthy". Thank you for disposing of these bags in an environmentally friendly way.

    Just ACROSS THE STREET from 1393 El Centro is the trailhead into Dimond Canyon. Volunteers working with Friends of Sausal Creek did a clean up of the creek on 12/9/18. The garbage collected and the scooter have been placed near the trash receptacle at the trailhead for city removal. Thank you.

    A few hundred yards to the left of the golf course driveway is the trailhead into Dimond Canyon (Bridgeview Trail.) Volunteers for Friends of Sausal Creek hauled out debris and garbage dumped near the creek, including a cot box spring, a car engine part, a satellite dish, wood fence slats, bricks. We left everything near the garbage can at the entrance of the trail for pick up by the city.

    Across the street from the trailhead into Dimond Canyon on El Centro, there are 6 large black heavy duty garbage bags filled with I don't know what. These bags are nestled into the foliage just a few feet to the right of the narrow trail on El Centro that leads to the play area in Dimond Park.

    Entering Huckleberry Botanic Regional via the Pinehurst/Skyline trailhead, follow the Loop Trail. Just after the junction .18 miles in, continue on the lower trail (to the right.) Hike along this lower trail for a few minutes and you will find the fallen tree.

    Just past the scaffolding by the Leimert Bridge on the Old Canon trail a tree has fallen down and is blocking the trail.

    A bunch of stuff was dumped by the side of the road next to the trailhead leading into Dimond Park (not canyon side, but park side -- southeastern side.)

    Friends of Sausal Creek collected 182 pounds of debris from the creek and its banks on 2-14-16, including a chair and a tire. All were left by the trash cans at the trailhead off El Centro for the city to collect. Note: there is also a dead rat in the brown can, placed there by FOSC.

    This is not an emergency, but a tree has fallen over the upper Canon Trail in Dimond Park, between the Old Canon trailhead and the Leimert Bridge. A walker can still access the trail, but this tree needs Park Maintenance attention.
