All along Rte 7 heading towards Jersey City, just past the landfill, the road is filled with bowling ball-sized rocks scattered all over the roadway which apparently fell off of a dump truck. It stretches for about 1/4 mile and is extremely dangerous and needs to be cleared asap. I don't know who is responsible for maintaining this road but I'm sure the Public Works Dept may know who exactly to contact to address this. Thank you in advance.

Someone dumped a 40 gallon water heater in the street at the top of the Chestnut Street Bridge.

I reported this issue last year and the year before so hopefully the 3rd time's a charm.
We are enduring yet another season of errant basketballs from the basketball court that come flying into the playground, clobbering the heads of toddlers and parents. The playground is sunken 4 feet below grade of the court so even basketballs that are rolling along the ground hit the back of people's heads sitting on the benches in the playground. It's ridiculous.
Just one section of fence between the court and playground is all we need. We don't want to fence-in the entire court or playground. We love the openness of the park but there has to be some safety measures taken when you have a basketball court just feet from a playground filled with children. This is such an easy fix.
If we were to put up a fence ourselves to finally fix this issue, I'm sure you will respond and take it down. I don't want it to have to come to that of course. Please Please take care of this. Thank you.

I reported this last year and was told something would be done and we are enduring another season of basketballs that come flying into the playground, barely missing the heads of toddlers and parents. Tonight I watched yet another basketball whiz past the head of a little 1 year old being held by their parent on the bench. You will be hearing from her and she will be calling Carol Jean Doyle to complain.
It took long enough for the town to finally install a stop sign, that we have been pleading for, at the Hamilton Ave intersection of the park. That helped greatly, thank you for that.
. But please do not take as long to fix this issue. Just one section of decorative fence between the court and playground should suffice. We don't want to fence in the entire court or playground. We love the openness of the park but there has to be some safety measures taken when you have a basketball court just feet from a playground filled with children. Thank you.

Everyday at Manor Park, basketballs from the players on the court come flying into the playground where little babies sit in strollers and toddlers, who can barely walk or just started walking, are playing. I've already seen little toddlers get whacked in the face/head very hard by basketballs. I feel like we are unwittingly participating in a game of dodge ball! I stay by my kids at all times and I'm always swatting away basketballs that regularly come flying into the playground. Last week, I was placing my two kids into their cart that I pull behind my bike and they almost got smashed in the face again. Luckily I saw the ball coming at the last second and blocked it. Ask any parent at the playground and they will have the same complaint. All we need is just one tall section of fence between the court and the playground to solve this dangerous issue. Please take immediate action and correct this huge oversight in the planning of this playground. It's a very simple fix that will eliminate a constant danger to all kids and adults in the playground. Plus,I'm sure the basketball players will appreciate not having to chase after their basketballs and the beautiful plants will be spared unnecessary damage from the basketballs also.
