    Dangerous slide - there is a hole in one of the slides and covering the hole is a piece of plywood bolted to the slide. The slide is not roped off, however, so if a child (or adult) did not notice the plywood, the child would slide right into the plywood. This is a serious safety hazard.

    Portable toilet needed near Edgewood Park Ranger Station. This area is heavily used and needs some sort of public toilet. There's been one here in the past. I'm sure it was removed for the winter, but now that warm weather is back, the toilet needs to come back too.

    The wood chips in the playground area are so low that it is a safety hazard. There are several places where equipment bolts are exposed or where there is a "lip" between the wood chip surface and the concrete area, which causes a tripping hazard. Bare dirt and even the cloth weed barrier are exposed. There are also almost constant puddles beneath the swings, even after several days of no rain.

    There is a leaky drinking fountain in Edgewood Park. It is located at the entrance to the young children's play area (the area with a rubberized surface) within the large playground near Ella Grasso Blvd. It seems as though perhaps a pipe underground has broken? There is a constant, large muddy puddle under the water fountain that covers almost the entire entrance to the young children's area.
