At Union Station New Haven there is an idling Shoreline East diesel train on track 10 that emits obnoxious fumes and excessive noise to Metro North commuters waiting on track platform 14 for the 4:23. Often the fumes enter the stairway to the track 14 platform and the Metro North train. The noise and fumes assault commuters on platform 14 every Monday thru Friday. The track 10 platform is very long. I would like this train to move down the platform, away from commuters on track 14, away from my train’s open doors, and away from the staircase’s open doors. NOT resolved. Shoreline East train continues to poison Metro North customers as of 3/14/2012.
