iI did call Building an Safey to get the details. This is a nice neighborhod with people who invest in their city and their schools-homeowners. I was told a citation had been written to the owner requestiing removal of the dumpster. Their time will be up Nov.19,2012. I then said and then, $100.00 fine, next ticket will be for $300.00 and every ticket thereafter is $500.00. Lets hope it doesn't come to that. I also think we need to keep on the city so this doesn't fall through the cracks. I'll keep checking myself also. I don't like to assume anthing. Hope this helps
pictures taken, emails sent, problem solved, fixed and it's smooth as a baby's butt, on Sanderson crossing too
sign replaced
someone is now living in this house, lawn mowed, trees and brush trimmed
house is down
I called the city dept concerning this property. believe it or not, the property is not condemed. At one time it was noted the property was boarded by the city but I don't know if it was before or after the fire. Notice is being sent to the owners and inspections is going out to address this issue. I'll get over there soon as I can get a minute for pictures and start pushing on my end.
also I believe in the past, the fee was $500.00 if the city mowed the lawn. As bad as the city needs money, it won't be free this time either. I have one of those lazy people down the street from me. I called the realestate company and said ' I"m curious about how bad do you want to sell this house?' He never mows the lawn and who wants to buy a neglected house on the outside, imagie what the inside looks like" He always let the man next door's son mow the front and the back was waist high. We are working on hime too. I saw him out with a weed wacker on Friday. How do you just live in a house and do nothing to it, SMH

Last I heard, the building dept was working on an ordinance to makes mortgage companies and banks who own these properties responsible for maintance and making these homes safe and secure or issue tickets and fines. I'll check on that soon as they open on Monday to see where they are with this.
