    A homeless encampment has set up shop DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF MY HOME. The City of Oakland needs to keep them from setting up here as well as in the park across the street and around the day care center. I have found needles in the park and actually within the day care center ground beyond their fence. The homeless also steal water and electricity from the day care center. This needs to be handled ASAP since it is now on City of Oakland property rather than CalTrans property.

    Homeless encampment in Chinese Garden Park has gotten out of hand. Has spilled over from Caltrans property into the park itself. Trash is everywhere, there is suspected drug dealing, and blatant abuse of the park's palm tree (nailing into it to support makeshift tents). The encampment abuts a child car center.

    There is a large and out of control homeless encampment behind the children's day care center abutting Chinese Garden Park (and underneath the northbound 880 Broadway offramp). There is lots of debris in the encampment, and have found used syringes in the park where children play. Please urge Caltrans to clean this camp up and undertake measures to keep encampment from reestablishing. In past cleanups, the homeless just move their belongings to the park (anywhere off Caltrans property) and come back immediately after the cleanup crews leave. A Caltrans maintenance request was filed on June 4, 2014 (MSR # 573853). for reference.

    Illegal dumping and new homeless encampment in Chinese Garden Park. Very concerned considering the park is home to a child care center. Observed drug use and human feces in the area behind the child care center. I have contacted Caltrans (ticket number 573853) to repair fence to keep homeless off of Caltrans property, but dumping is also on Oakland property in the park.
