  • N Front St & Olney Avenue Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Olney
When the city had Olney Ave. repaved this past summer, it closed the City Inlet, (Sewer Inlet), opening drastically; allowing it to clog-up after precipitation.
Now I am not a certified Civil Engineer in studies of water formations.
But I would like to suggest the City of Philadelphia reconsider the design and/or type of City Inlet installed at the southwest corner of this intersection; also located at the bottom of a gently sloping hill.
This area would be better served with an open faced type/design of City Inlet, (Sewer Inlet); to prevent accumulation of water and/or snow at this side of the intersection

Sewer on southeast side of intersection is clogged up with debris; creating a large pool of water for cars and pedestrians whenever it rains. Can't imagine the problems this will cause this winter!
  • 5230 N 5th St Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Olney
Last year this issue (hole) was about 10" deep; but someone put in what appears to be broken up concrete into it.
Square ditch/hole is in need of black macadam and resurfacing.

5013 N Fairhill St Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Olney
House was a rental with the owner living elsewhere, I know not. Renters moved out and the house was facilitated with what appears to be steel doors and steel windows because of previous vandalism.
As of Oct 21 2016, it appears that someone broke out all the double walled glass at the basement level and then placed a couple of broken pieces of plywood over the hole, then placed a city traffic horse in front of that from street view.
