Today a large truck unloaded a 20-30 ft hitch with large capacity cable holders and was left on our property. Our property stretches from 5920 - 5936. We have survey holders marking our property lines. There are deep muddy tire marks running from our neighbors driveway all the into our properties. We are asking for the hitch to be moved and for the city to aerate and seed the large truck tire areas. Pictures and license plate included in photos.

A large construction hitch was dragged onto our property (5920 - 5936) by a a city truck and left overnight. In the process of unloading the 20-30 ft hitch full of round cables there are muddy truck tire marks/ruts left all over our far property. We are asking for it to removed immediately and for the ground to aerated where the ruts and seeded. We are not an unloading lot for construction on the highway and no permission was given. I would also like to point out that the cabling project in our yard had been completed 3 weeks ago. Any grass that had been seeded by the previous group had probably been ruined. Thank you.

Currently there is construction that has left a bus stop with nothing but unlevel dirt/mud. The sidewalk has been eliminated and is dangerous getting on and off the bus. This is not safe with construction drums in the pathway as well. Getting around this stretch is sidewalk with nowhere to walk is not acceptable especially with a heavily traveled roadway. Thank you.

Please consider a slowdown curve up ahead signage before the corner of Pineway and Forest Hill Avenue. Included photo of area. We have written to the city traffic engineer previously with no response. This intersection drops off to a downhill curve which makes visibility up ahead impossible. I watch weekly as the garbagemen stop and are nearly sideswiped by 40 +mph cars who do not see them until they come around the corner midway down this hill. There are numerous poles that have been hit at the bottom of this curve and there are also driveways in which people travel in and out of that are subject to be sideswiped. Speeds of 40 to 50 mph are not acceptable on a blind curve and something should be done with signage. Thank you.
  • Sidewalk Along Belvidere Near Corner Of Idlewood Richmond, VA - Capitol District
Along Belvidere from Idlewood to Albemarle streets the grass is growing rather high on the median, along with the puddles which form on the sidewalk whenever it rains makes walking difficult.
  • 613 - 615 Idlewood Avenue Richmond, Virginia - Oregon Hill
The sidewalk on Idlewood between Pine street and Belvidere is lined with discarded furniture and takes up the front of three residences. This includes bookcases, couches and mattresses along with cartons of empty soda bottles.

For two years or longer a cracked utility pole with wooden supports has been leaning more and more. This pole used to carry the main electrical wire system until it was hit by a car. The new pole is next to it in the median. The cracked pole is unstable and still carries heavy phone lines attached which are leaning with the pole over the pedestrian right of way. Also very close to passing vehicular traffic. It is located on the north side of the street near the corner of pineway and forest hill avenue.
  • Idylewood And Belvidere Corner Richmond, VA - Oregon Hill
As I stand waiting for a southside bus off idylewood avenue and belvidere, I am aware of the excess trash and solicitations that make this an unsightly area for city residents to wait for public transit. There are people standing and waiting for cars to stop not just for change but drugs or otherwise. I have been solicited by cars while waiting for a bus from work. The trash around the bus stop grows worse everyday. This is the closest bus stop to Vcu and homeowners in Oregon hill. We are residents who would prefer safe areas for transit and would prefer if the city took responsibility for making this area safe as well.

Near the corner of pineway and forest hill avenue there is another pothole developing. It wouldn't be so bad if it were not for the fact that it is on a curve, down a hill and near a pole that has been hit a few times. Ups freight and other large freight trucks are adding to it's breaking away. Thank you.

More uneven torn up sidewalks. Gravel and uneven pavement in school zone and in front of local businesses. Unsafe and unwelcome in a neighborhood that deserves a clean up after major construction along this route. Thank you!

Contradictory speed limit signs across the street from one another. Located on the train overpass between Leicester and Dorchester Rds. Southside of street can travel 35 mph and northside must travel 40 mph. Besides the obvious issues at hand, I am unsure why cars are expected to speed up starting on an overpass where the road and traffic is right next to pedestrians and bike commuters. This makes for unsafe travel for all of those involved. I vote for keeping the speed limit at the lower end.
  • 5300-5316 Forest Hill Avenue Richmond, Virginia - Cedarhurst
Sidewalk on the Northside of the sidewalk is mostly gravel in large sections. This section runs over the train overpass between Dorchester and Leicester rds. Gravel and concrete makes for a not smooth surface for pedestrians/handicap and or bike commuters walking or riding next to fast traffic and construction.
  • 5600 To 5900 Blocks Of Forest Hill Avenue Richmond, VA - Westlake Hills
Over the course of 2 years I have seen and witnessed quite a few families of deer crossing forest hill avenue from Bliley avenues to the Powhite parkway. I have also reported on numerous occasions deer carnage. Our yards on the north side of Forest Hill are a corridor for deer to reach the river and to forage by crossing busy traffic to the southside of the street. Please consider signage to indicate to 40 mph traffic to be aware. Not sure you need a traffic study for his one.

Dangerous pothole is large enough for whole car tire to fall in and nearly threw me off my bike as it is closer to sidewalk in road. Difficult to avoid and affects you even at slow speed limits. This pothole is before the Bliley Rd. traffic light. There are also two others further up headed westbound from traffic light after Bliley Rd.

Found Deer that had been hit by a car in woods next to bus stop. The deer is located in the woods next Forest Hill Avenue beyond the bus stop and the light pole. This is also part of the Willow Oaks apt complex but on city property.
