There is no crosswalk on 15th St right at the corner of Girard Street where many children have to cross to get to and from the Columbia Heights Recreation center. There is a crosswalk a long block north and a long block south, but none right at the location of the building. A crosswalk here seems essential -- for traffic often speeds north on that street with no sign of slowing down or watching for children.
