Low hanging tree limbs are present all along this path.

Bent Creek Dr Raleigh, NC 27615, USA - Raleigh Council District A

The intersection of the bike path along Lynn rd. As it crosses Bent Creek represents an on going hazard to path users.

Cars must use this as a cut thru to Lynn rd and so the come to this stop looking left so the can turn right. They are likely unaware that there could be path traffic approaching from the right and almost always pull fully through the crossing as the come to a stop (if they bother to stop).

This is made worse by the vegetation at the corner that obscures both path traffic and cars from seeing each other until they are at the crossing.

It seems at the very least a sign informing cars to look for path traffic would be helpful.

  • Glass on the path Acknowledged
866-932 Lynn Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Raleigh Council District A

Theres has been broken glass all over the path along Lynn road where is crosses back over the bridge. Its been there for months and is not getting washed away.

Broken glass seems to be a issues along several sections of the greenway.

  • Visual Obstruction Acknowledged
Rocky Branch Trail Raleigh, North Carolina - Hillsborough
The vegetation along the path as it passes along the tennis courts has been allowed to grow up to the point were it is difficult to see students walking on the path. Its esp bad at the little jog at the tennis courts.

Once again the holly brushes that border the Rocky Branch trail as it passes along the greenway are growing over the trail. The reduce the witch of the trail and make a blind turn creating a dangerous situation. Then need to be cut back away from the trail allowing for full use of the paved trail. Really the should be cut back away from the trail and lowered so that the line of sight can be used again.
  • House Creek Greenway Trail Raleigh, North Carolina - Glenwood

You guys really need to put of a "closure coming" sign on greenways you plan on closing down, esp ones that are major connectors for bike commuters.

I realized that this was posted on the greenway website since I checked after the fact, but you really can't expect people to check that site daily (or even weekly) for the closures. There was no indication the greenway would be closed when I commuted to work through there this AM so coming home and finding it blocked, just meant I had to violate the closure (sorry back tracking for miles to find a way around was not an option).

If your going to build a greenway system and try and tell people they can use it to commute means there will be a expectation that closing will be posted on the trail ahead of time much the same as you would for roadways.

The greenway/sidewalks in both sides of Lynn are over grown and have numerous low hanging trees.
  • Walnut Creek Trail Raleigh, NC 27610, USA - Southeast
Trail always under water here now that it's been paved
  • 802 West South Street Raleigh, NC 27603, USA - Central
Sidewalk blocked for anyone over 3 foot
  • Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard Raleigh, North Carolina - Central
There are motorcycles always speeding on this road, even in my house in Boylan Heights (with the windows and doors closed) it sounds like I'm at a race track.
  • 206 Faircloth Street Raleigh, North Carolina - Wade
There are cars constantly parked in the bike lane on this road. Not sure what he point of building all the bikes lanes across the city is if they are to be used as on street parking.
  • 1300 Western Boulevard Raleigh, NC 27603, USA - Hillsborough
The staff of central prison don't seem to understand that the right hand turn is not continually free flowing for them and that they must stop for pedestrian traffic when that traffic has the green. I have almost been hit several times but prison staff speeding through the red.
  • Walnut Creek Trail Raleigh, NC 27610, USA - Southeast
Trails completely covered in run off
  • Walnut Creek Trail Raleigh, NC, USA - Southwest
Walnut creek greenway flooded with water and sandy run off near unrideable.
  • Reedy Creek And Blue Ridge Raleigh, NC - Raleigh Council District D
As a major bike corridor its simple silly that this light takes upwards of 4 minutes to chance after the crossing button has been pushed, and if you don't push the button when your on a bike forget about it ever changing.
