I believe there used to be a Left Turn Only arrow painted on French to turn left onto John St. If so, it needs to be repainted. People in both the left and right lanes are attempting to go straight through the light on French, nearly causing accidents when forced to merge into one lane. It also causes confusion for cars headed in the other direction either turning left into the Boott Mills or going straight, when cars in both oncoming lanes try to go straight, or when one expects the car in the left lane to be turning onto John and it doesn't, further congesting a tough intersection when it backs up from Bridge St.

The parking space sign for space #996 is wrong on one side. One side correctly says 996, the other is upside down and says 966.

The light at French @ John St. has repeatedly gone into "blink" mode lately, with the right of way given to French St. It makes it extremely difficult to exit or enter the Boott complex, and it's dangerous for pedestrians to cross. Is this an issue or for some reason being done on purpose?

It's been awhile since the bike lanes were added to Fr. Morrissette, but nearly every day on my commute I'm still seeing drivers driving in the bike lanes and/or the parking lanes when no cars are parked there. Most are people who move over to the right long before the turn lane starts (especially outbound by Jeanne D'Arc and Wannalancit before turning right onto Cabot), but others just completely disregard the bike lanes and drive in them as if there were still two travel lanes.

I don't know what can be done regarding better traffic enforcement or some sort of barriers (there are sometimes a barrel at the very beginning of the bike lane, but they fall over or move, or cars just move over right after the barrel), but I worry it's such a safety concern. Just a matter of time before a biker gets hit. Plus, yesterday a car turned right at the proper time to turn onto Cabot and was nearly rear-ended by a car driving illegally in that lane.

A Lowell Public Schools bus was driving outbound on Fr. Morrisette between the Post Office and Cabot St. this morning at 8:15 am -- driving completely in the bike lane and (empty) parking spots. The bus then turned on Cabot. This is the 3rd time I've witnessed this in the past week. I've seen regular drivers completely ignoring the new lanes as well, but public school buses doing so is especially terrible.
