These lights were out today when I came back from my yoga class. Why would you not want thiese fixed?..
I spoke to the Park drainage area supervisor. I was told that this would be addressed when the first freeze comes. This way, the workers can clear the drain without having to work in the deep sediment that builds up in this drain field.
I would like to wish all of the Seeclickfix users a splendid holiday season. Thank you for your support and your service to your community.
This has been picked up
It will be taken care of. The city will not let us down.
This Should be taken care of by now. Lets have a positive note heading into the holiday season.
There is such a litter problem in Hampton. People seem to not care about it. It is a shame.
I have been to the BarkPark, and I must say it looks run down at times. My Bassetts never felt at home there, and the heat plays a big part in that comfort feeling we want for our pets. It is my sincere hope that the city will update this dog park and add mist stations and feeder stations.
That is not the case. It should be safe and clean for the public to enjoy.
they could do so much with all the landscape in the area. It is a shame. I see the duck droppings need to be washed off the sidewalk once again also.
Good Afternoon Robert,
I agree that the center island could look alot better, but given the work load that public works department has, It could also look worse. Our public works crews have alot on their plates with the day to day running of our city. Add road improvements like the air force base support roads, the maintaining of vacant city propertys, mowing and plant bed repairs and installs, there is alot to do! The support departments often lack the training to do these needed tasks, so it falls onto the public works crews. I am sure that when spring comes around, the center island will look better. Just give them a chance.
I do not belive that the smaller departments are innefective, I do understand that public works staff has alot of talent and training tand hat makes these many varied tasks much easier to complete for them. The support departments do not seem to have the training and the talent to effectivly do these tasks. The task is finished and public works did a bang up job again!

The support departments do not seem to have the training and the talent to effectivly do these tasks. That being said, It seems that this area has been cleaned up. Thank you again public works. You guys are great!
While I agree that there is a constance supply of trash to be blown into the drain ditch, Since Public works crews have cleaned it up, It looks alot better. Perhaps a support department can now keep it clean now that the hard work is done. Thanks to the Public works staff!
I am in total agrement with you on ticketing violators. I would love to know the last time a ticket for littering was issued in the city. We, the taxpaying citizens of Hampton are paying for the support departments workers anyway, so during the slower times of the year, the workers should be utilized to pick this up. The city has the trucks and safety equipment needed to block the lanes while the litter is being collected. It would be a cost effective way to ge the job done.
I am in total agrement with you on ticketing and fines to those who litter. As you say above, the persons who litter should have to clean up roadways as the fine. My point was that we are paying the lessercity department workers all year, and in the slower times of the year, these workers should be utilized to clean up this litter. It makes good economic sense and would also help keep the workers healthy and active in the slower months of the year.
While my walking group and I were walking and practicing our planking, We saw The public works litter collectors out in force on this road. They cleaned up the ditch bank and the fence lines on both sides. It looks much better now. After inspecting the clean up, I can ask that this issue be archived at this time. Public works crews saved our city once again! Good job!
You are so right Hamptonfan, Those people are a blessing to our city!
You are correct Allamerican, I saw this while I was delivering meals on wheels and just now had the time to close this. Thank you Public works and thank you to Hampton!
There are still butts all over the park. I was hoping that the parks worker would have put outdoor ashtrays thru out the park. That way smokers could dispose of the butts in the proper way. A program like this would pay for itself in a year.
The pine tree debris needs to be cleared off the city sidewalk before someone slips on them.
