south side of Hollis and Powell intersection construction at the NW corner includes a signed closure of the south crosswalk even though the project doesn't appear to affect that crosswalk - was this approved as part of a construction staging plan and if so then why?

if the crosswalk did need to be closed for whatever reason then the sign should be in the crosswalk not next to the pedestrian signal call button -

northbound Shellmound between Bay and Ohlone Way - the construction site on the east side of the street has closed the pedestrian sidewalk, and has put plywoodon the ground halfway across the bike lanecreating a significant lip in the middle of the bikeway.

I don't know if this construction impact was approved, but a better approach would be to convert one of the two northbound car travel lanes here to retain both the pedestrian sidewalk and the bike lane throughout constructio - the temp pedestrian path should have accessible ramps and solid barrier protection along the outside so as to be navigable by people with disabilities - the plywood in the bike lane also needs to be addressed

Ideally these should be standard treatments Emeryville requires for every development project , to prioritize continuous, safe and accessible bike/walk access throughou constructiont
