The pedestrian detection for the flashing beacons along the Greenway is not working for the south sides of 65th, 66th, and 67th Streets, and also not for the north side of 67th Street. The bike detection seems to be working but not the pedestrian detection.

I have reported this multiple times over several months but the problems persist. Please fix this permanently and ASAP, as it is especially needed during this extra dark time of year.

please add stop signs and crosswalk markings at the intersection of Halleck and Sherwin. Intersection bike markings to/from the greenway path to the north are probably a good idea too. Drivers are not looking for or expecting people to be crossing here at the curve
  • 4515 Hubbard St Emeryville CA 94608, United States - Emeryville
there is a lot of parking at red curbs happening along the new sections of 46th St and Hubbard through the Sherwin Williams development site, obstructing sight lines and forcing people into oncoming traffic - please add more loading zones to accommodate necessary activities, and enforce the red curb areas appropriately
  • 4515 Hubbard St Emeryville CA 94608, United States - Emeryville
the raised crosswalk on Hubbard north of Sherwin is getting blocked a lot by drivers despite the red curb - please add continental crosswalk striping here so people know it's a crosswalk, and convert a number of the curbside parking spaces to loading zones, to accommodate delivery activities

Please add a leading pedestrian interval to each of the walk signals crossing San Pablo Ave east/west at Alcatraz - Currently the walk signal comes on at the same time as the green light, creating conflicts between pedestrians entering the crosswalk and drivers turning onto San Pablo Ave from westbound Alcatraz, especially those making a left turn onto southbound San Pablo Ave

  • 5700 Christie Ave Emeryville CA 94608, United States - Emeryville

The intersection on Christie Ave west of Shellmound at Trader Joe's needs another crosswalk on the west side connecting between the cycletrack and the Powell Street Plaza driveway. Currently as a bike rider there is no good way to get between the cycletrack and the plaza across Christie without either walking in the crosswalk on the east side or biking against the flow of car traffic.

In general, crosswalks should be provided on all legs of each intersection with a stop sign or signal for this and other reasons. The City of Alameda has this as a design standard for all new projects, and Emeryville should too.
