    The garbage on pearl street between orange and Lincoln is still there. Only it is worse than yesterday. There are bags of food scraps on the footpath and the big black bin is open and slightly overlapping the footpath.

    On Bradley Street outside the New Haven Academy, a tree has has been very badly topped. This raises several issues. Was this done by a licensed arborist? Did someone pay for this to be done? Were the correct permissions obtained? Where the local resident and/or neighborhood association (Lincoln-Bradley Neighborhood association) notified beforehand? Does notification need to be given by law to the local residents?

    Lincoln Street is tiny - only 3 blocks long. But there is a lot of traffic, especially big trucks, that drive west on Pearl and then turn south into Lincoln. The truck traffic can be very loud in the morning (not just on Tuesday when the garbage is collected). Some cars travel fast - they are speeding. Also, there is a tendency for drivers to cut the corner when turning from Pearl into Lincoln. This is very dangerous for cyclists who are moving in the opposite direction and turning from Lincoln into Pearl, compounded by the fact that the road surface is in very poor condition.

    There is a large stump between the sidewalk and the road outside our house at 37 Lincoln Street, New Haven, CT 06511. I would like to request that it be removed, or at least ground out. Then we would like to a tree planted there - I am prepared to water it as per the tree stewardship instructions.
