The driveway has no egress and cars park within 10 ft of it on either side, making those exiting the driveway pull into the public space, restricting movement of pedestrians coming from and going to Giant. I believe parking signs providing a setback on either side of the driveway would remove the blind spot, relieving the existing pedestrian safety issue.

There is no choice for concerns about illegal or unsafe construction. This site is adjacent to a property that burned completely through recently and there are no supports in place to ensure the burned building next to it continues to stand. This would be a safety concern to individuals at the site and on the sidewalk in front or alley in the rear.

Walk signs up and down H Street (there is another at the SE corner of H and 7th) have been turned around by a vandal. Please address, as I mention it to a parking enforcement official a week ago and it has yet to be fixed.

There is ice covering the sidewalk on the south side of the street. Three mornings in a row I have watched folks do conga lines clinging to the wall and our folks in uniform slipping and almost falling (military issue shoes are not practical for ice). I've filed two complaints for snow/ice removal; nothing has been done. After calling 311, I was told it needed to be a "Sanitation Enforcement" complaint -- not that that is clear. Either way, it is incredibly shameful that I have had to file multiple complaints and DC staff didn't either reach out to me to ask questions or take some initiative to identify the issue, which is plain as day to anyone in the area. Even putting descriptions on the 311 app would help folks identify issues correctly... But that is another matter.

Developer of the Yards failed twice in the last week to clear ice and snow along the south side of M Street, making it extremely treacherous.

TRAFFIC LIGHT - There is no option for stoplights and this was the most relevant option.... The stoplight at 5th and Virginia Streets SE is timed awkwardly. During morning and evening rush hours, it only has a five second light -- enough time for one car to drive through, and is not pressure triggered, this triggering risky driving behavior of running yellow and red lights. The timing should be re-addressed, as it is a major intersection for DOT and Navy employes getting on the freeway to Virginia.
  • 737 6th Street Southeast Washington, DC 20003, USA - Capitol Hill
NORTHBOUND - Confusion always occurs between cars at this intersection because 5th Street has room for two lanes but no markings, as it crosses Virginia Avenue there are two lanes, and then there are three lanes and a turn lane under the 695 overpass. It reduces to one lane when it becomes 6th Street.

A Porta Potty was placed at the rear of the building and the residents are complaining. It was not placed for construction in our building and we'd like to have it moved from next to our fence as it smells and is awkwardly located next to our gate. It seems the individuals using it are coming from the "Mansion" condo building around the corner on 3rd Street. Thank you.

We've had a problem with people parking here lately in space that is designated "no parking." On-going enforcement is needed.
