    Adelipour is trying to demolish our place again! Bloom is the accomplice (lawyer). He already had a hearing before the Planning Board in July (chairman is Charles Segal of BGP); next hearing is Sept. 9. Segal claimed he'd never heard of the old plan. That's because it never came him. That one required height variances so went to BZA. This one doesn't, so went straight to Planning Board. We the tenants were NOT informed. This building is a rent stabilized building, and if the do this there will be no more affordable housing in Great Neck. The other buildings are mostly at market rents. We will have no place to live. We need your help. This is the reason they were taking their times about the garage, because they plan on demolishing the building. I was told that they didn't want the people that live here to come back into the building the last time they attempted this! Please help us!! We have been in this community some 49 yrs, 35yrs, 30 yrs, etc. Some work at the schools, the library, the town, local bank, and so many other local businesses.

    The Village of Great Neck Article IV required that the buildings are inspected every 4 or 5 years, and in doing so found that the Academy Garden (794-812 Middle Neck Rd) has numerous violations. They have them because the managing agent of this building has been harassing the tenants that are left to move out she forced a lot out illegally), and have not done any work inside or out. The two garages were completely torn down, and didn't have to be. They are still not completed, and this has been going on since last year. They have a 2 year permit to get them done. In the meantime the tenants have to park on the streets. But, because several years ago I went and ask for overnight parking due to not enough parking spaces other people in the area see that we can park overnight, and come and take the spaces. We have gotten tickets even though we have notice in our cars saying it's okay. They don't issue tickets to the owner of the bakery across the streets, and if the other business owners park they also don't get tickets. I don't how this issue can be resolved, but it should not take 2 years to build two carports (there should be 3 also the one on the south side was never replaced). The managing agent should be fined by the Village for all the wood, bricks and other material that has been on the grounds in the back for over a year now.The Village should demand that they move faster, and parking over night should not be for those that live on Redbrook Rd, Forrest Row, Steamboat just to name a few. The building department inspector years ago would always come down, and issue a violation or summons to this manager - not anymore.

    The shops on Middle Neck Road on both sides of the streets never clean in front of their businesses. The sidewalks are so dirty, and filled with papers, cups, etc. The parking lot next to Chase is dirty all the time, and at night so many people are just hanging out there. You are afraid to go into the store there. People sit in the park across the streets all hours of the night, and they urinate on the trees as if they are toilets, both day and night. People walk their dogs up and down Middle Neck and Steamboat, and never pick up behind them. What is going in in this town?
