Between 63rd ave and 64th ave on 166 street in surrey speeding traffic is becoming a hazardous issue. Vehicles traveling on 166 street southbound and especially northbound to make the traffic light at 166 street and 64 ave are speeding in excess of the posted speed limit. This is a residential area and AJ Mclelland elementary school is just south of 63rd ave. many children including my own use 166 street as their way to school. There have been close calls with traffic and pedestrians, and a cyclist has been hit by a speeding vehicle last year. Being a resident in this neighbourhood, I as many others living here would greatly appreciate the city putting speed bumps along 166 street between 64 and 63 avenues to slow the traffic down and ensure the safety of the residents and especially the children.
