  • 178 E Rock Rd New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Prospect Hill
Public Works has not picked up my yard waste for three weeks. I have placed cans of yard waste at the curb, as I have done for years.
  • 180 East Rock Road New Haven, Connecticut - Prospect Hill
For more than a week,a white Toyota 4Runner has been parked on the street in front of 180 East Rock Road. It has no license plate on the front. The CT plate on the rear is AB 45198. As far as I've been able to determine, it doesn't belong to anyone on the block. Please have the police check on whether it's a stolen vehicle.
  • 750 Whitney Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - Prospect Hill
At the northwest corner of Whitney Avenue and East Rock Road, a CTNow.com newspaper box has been lying on the ground, chained to a street sign, for at least three weeks. I believe CTNow is defunct. It would be good if Public Works would cut the chain and take the newspaper box away.

438 Whitney Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - Prospect Hill
Whitney Avenue from Willow Street to Cottage Street was dug up last fall for utility work. The construction crew then repaved the trench they had created, for nearly a two-block stretch of Whitney. The new asphalt is very uneven, forcing bicyclists to ride closer to the middle of the road, where they're in danger of being hit by a car or truck. When spring comes, the City should repave this trench to make it as smooth as the road. (Either the City or a contractor did some rudimentary patching of the worst sections, but the patching made the street bumpier and more dangerous for cyclists.)

  • 120 Ogden St. New Haven, Connecticut - Prospect Hill
A branch is pressing down on a utility wire next to the driveway at 120 Ogden St. It's a thin blue wire, and it's been pressed downward by about a foot. The wire seems to be in danger of breaking.
