    I found a lost dog on East Rock Park Road around 10:30 PM Thursday, December 11. Animal Control was closed so she hung out with me for the night and I brought her to the New Haven Animal Shelter on Fournier Street this morning. Small, less than 10 lbs., tan, looks like a chihuahua mix. Pink collar with flowers, but no tags. No microchip. The folks at the shelter are guessing she's around 2-3 years old.

    cars, trucks, all kinds of vehicles use Castleton as a cut through between Jamaicaway and S. Huntington; vehicles drive up and down the street at and above 40 mph, including police cars without lights or sirens. lots of kids and pets in the neighborhood, not sure how someone hasn't been hit yet.
