West 103rd Street Residents

  • 315 West 103rd Street New York, NY - Upper West Side

A generator and dumpster have been on our street for months, even though the Department of Buildings issued a Stop Work Order for the related construction. DOT permits are M022012164169 and M022012164170.

Meanwhile, the owner of the building is actively using the dumpster to store trash from construction in other buildings from other parts of NYC.

Construction at 315 West 103rd Street is seemingly in violation of NY building code. Plus, the owner falsely claimed that the building was vacant in his application to the Department of Buildings.

We call on the DOB to order the removal of this allegedly illegal addition at once.

Metal plates from street work on Riverside Drive service road at West 103rd Street clank VERY loudly whenever cars run over them. This makes sleep very difficult for all nearby residents.

Is there anything the DOT can do about this?

  • 315 W 103 St New York, NY - Upper West Side

The DOT just renewed the permit for a generator to be left on the street in front of 315 West 103rd Street based on a DOB permit that was revoked six months ago in July '09.

This new DOT permit (#M022009363306) should be revoked immediately.
