We still have all the tractor trailers parking on Dixwell Avenue. Now we have some Western Express driver leaving the trailer on Dixwell and parking the cab on Grandview Avenue. Do we have to put up with this ?

I'm certain that if I parked my Corolla this close to this corner, I would be ticketed. This gets parked here all the time, and it makes pulling out onto Dixwell unsafe.

When did lower Dixwell Avenue become a truck depot? They park illegally close to corners, so that oncoming traffic isn't visible to anyone trying to pull out from side streets. This has become a daily occurrence; on Monday there were at least 6 trucks parked between ALK Liquors and Treadwell Street.

It's really getting tiresome to drive by this a couple of times a day. The town claimed a demolition permit was taken out about nine months ago. Why has this building not been condemned? Why is nothing being done about this? I'm getting embarrassed to tell people I live in Hamden. I pay $7,000 a year in taxes to live down the street from this.

Why is this being allowed to go on? This sat vacant, then got loaded up with inventory from the car lot across the street, was vacated, and now the cars are back. Meanwhile, the building is in even worse condition. I know this would not be tolerated in Spring Glen, so why is this allowed here?

This is what happens when you eliminate bulk trash collection. Love living in Hamden's glorious south end.

I was hoping that after the prior owner passed away that this place would be razed, or at least renovated, not put back into use as a building that looks like it is about to collapse. Do we have any blight ordinances in Hamden?

Custom Auto Top, at the corner of Millis Street, just north of Legend Pizza, has been decaying for years, even when it was operating. My understanding that the owner passed away recently, so I expect this will just continue to get worse. The building is falling apart, the remaining cars are sitting on flat tires. Trash and car parts to the rear. Given the recent tax hike and cutting services, I'm going to expect the town to up it's game with regard to stuff like this.

This Home Depot shopping cart has been out by the side of the road for about a week now. I'd bring it to the transfer station but, oops, it's a Saturday

These wires have been hanging low for about 2 weeks. They have caution tape draped from them and are duct taped to a tree to hold them up. Trucks have to swing wide to get by. Is something going to get done about this ?

First a piece of furniture, now a tire has been added to the pile

I am directing this to the Mayor's office because last time I called Public Works about something like this I got a lot of snotty attitude, plus a transparent lie about how long the issue had been going on. This piece of furniture has been sitting by the side of Treadwell Street, just east of the driveway to Outer Space, for a couple of weeks now and I was wondering if there were any plans to move it? If I had a truck I'd move it myself, but I don't, so I was hoping you could as Public Works to move it.
