Sidewalk (asphalt) between Yale Avenue to Edgewood mid-bridge park overpass ( nearer the bike path) has huge pieces missing, extensive cracks, uneven surface throughout. It has been in deplorable condition for years. This side gets more use than the concrete sidewalk on the other side of the street and this leads directly to Edgewood School. Other sidewalks in nearby streets have been redone and they were in better shape than this. Please replace this with concrete!
  • 720 Edgewood Ave New Haven CT 06515, United States - Westville
The asphalt sidewalk between Yale Avenue and the concrete section before the Edgewood Riad bridge over the park is broken up in multiple areas. This is the side leading to Edgewood school adjacent to the bike lanes. Why can't this be a concrete sidewalk like the opposite side of the street, as it gets used much more frequently. The condition of this sidewalk has been deplorable for years. We have seen sidewalks in my nearby neighborhood on Elm and other cross streets replaced that were in better condition than this stretch of sidewalk.

When purchasing new park benches throughout the city, please find a shape more like the old concrete benches. These new benches are uncomfortable. I am 5' 1" and my husband is 6' tall; we now carry stadium seats with us in Edgewood park when we walk. My husband is recovering from surgery and needs to sit frequently. Uncomfortable benches made us shorten our walks. We wish we didn't have to carry stadium seats to make sitting on these newer style benches tolerable. The back is too low and the curve of the bench slats does not provide lower back support.

Broken glass on park road in two locations: Here near a tree with a white trail marker between duck pond and closer to stairs at bridge to Edgewood Avenue and also spanning the road by those same stairs before you get to the Edgewood Park overpass. (Road heading out of park to Edgewood Ave is on the other side of the overpass. I had to ride my bike around & between the glass to avoid a flat tire-especially closer to the overpass and stairs up to Edgewood Avenue.-

The "traffic calming" construction on Edgewood Ave just past the center median heading away from downtown has narrowed the roadway too much making it unsafe for bike riders At a minimum add a bike ramp on the curb side There is an "exit" ramp but not an "entrance" ramp, except for walkers on the sidewalk

A car is parked in front of house blocking access to driveway. This is a repeat problem with different cars blocking the driveway. Signs and curb markers are needed to remind drivers not to block the driveway.
