I timed my legal, with the signals traversal of this intersection passing from CPD (right hand side, only side with a sidewalk right now) to the T. It took 2 minutes and 25 seconds. I also came into conflict with several cars during this time - while the light for peds is white going over CPD, it's entirely blocked by cars turning left from Steel Place. One nearly hit me in the crosswalk.

It's clear that crossing against the signals is both faster and safer. No wonder everyone jaywalks here. I still don't know, despite asking several times, whether the City, DCR, MBTA, or some other entity is responsible for signalling at this intersection, but this is a complete abdication of the responsibility to provide safe pedestrian infrastructure.

  • 22 Donnell St Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9
This bush is reaching over the entire sidewalk.
  • 125 Cambridge Park Dr Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge

Another day, another delivery vehicle parked in the bike lane. One almost hit me yesterday morning while it was backing out of a protected area of the bike lane, where the driver had pulled in between the parked cars and the curb.

Please add flex posts to prevent drivers from doing this.

  • 244 Huron Ave Cambridge, Massachusetts - West Cambridge
There's a lot of large snow piles filling the parking along Huron. Rather than shovel them out and park next to the curb, many drivers are just parking blocking the bike lane. This problem at least all the way between Lakeview and Sparks, on both sides of the street, but I assume it's wider spread than that. Some increased enforcement of parking regulations (less than a foot from the curb) seems necessary to make it clear to drivers that blocking the buffered bike lane isn't okay to do just because there's snow.
  • Fitchburg Cutoff Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
The ramp going across the Alewife Access Road on the FItchburg Cutoff is blocked by snow.
  • 341 Rindge Avenue Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
The access ramp at this parking lot is plowed in, as is one of the handicapped spots. You can't see it in the photo, but it's under there. There are no other ramps in the parking lot.
  • 6 Donnell St Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9
Section adjacent to library, but fronting 6 Donnell, is unshoveled.
  • 7 Donnell St Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9
Section at edge of 7 to 5 is unshoveled.
  • 263 Concord Ave Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9
Stretch of sidewalk on Donnell st adjacent to property has far too narrow of a path shoveled, cannot be passed due to protruding bushes and snowpile on sidewalk.
  • 36 Cambridgepark Dr Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
Bike lane heading east is full of snow.
  • 125 Cambridgepark Dr Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
As per usual, the bike lane heading west is full of plow piles. Guess the adjacent property owners haven't gotten the message yet.
  • 142 Garden St Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9
Ramp to crossing on Donnell is uncleared.
  • 31 Donnell St Cambridge, Massachusetts - Neighborhood 9
The sign at the corner of Garden and Donnell is down, and has been for a few weeks now. The sign at the corner of RC Kelley and Donnell is also missing, and has been for a few years now. There has been a lot of wrong-way traffic turning right from RC Kelley recently. Please replace both signs.
  • 125 Cambridge Park Dr Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
As is usually the case on this road, the bike lane here has had more snow plowed into it than out of it. It's entirely unusable - worse than unusable in spots since in a couple of places the entrance to a section is open but the exit is blocked.
  • 125 Cambridge Park Dr Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
The bike lane here is full of large piles of snow. For some reason the previous issue about this (https://seeclickfix.com/issues/4003701) was closed, but the lane is still completely unusable.
  • Alewife Brook Parkway And Rindge Ave Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge

The curb cut for the crosswalk here is completely covered, moving quickly towards being solid ice. Anyone with mobility issues is going to be SOL. Given that this is the way to reach the surrounding neighborhood from the T stop, this seems like an important one to clear.

It's not clear who is responsible for this snow clearance. Is it DCR?

  • 30 Cambridge Park Dr Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
The curb cut for the crosswalk here is completely blocked by snow and ice.
  • 30 Cambridge Park Dr Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
The sidewalk next to 30 CPD has an unshoveled section, just to the right of the driveway associated with 30 CPD. Looks completely untouched. Maybe there's some conflict between the owners of this building and Vecna over who is responsible for this section of sidewalk.
  • 172 Alewife Brook Parkway Cambridge, Massachusetts - North Cambridge
It's impossible to make a left here as the left turn signal uses a sensor, which does not detect bikes. As this is the only way to access Cambridgepark Dr from the east by bike after a snow (the path around the back, accessed near the swimming pool, is blocked), this is a safety hazard, as bicycles are forced to go against the signal.
  • 192 Appleton Street Cambridge Massachusetts - West Cambridge
This bush reaches most of the way across the sidewalk. It should be cut back.
