    This utility pole (cp&l # 2YJ10) was hit by a car several years ago, which created a vertical split. Since then, the split has gotten much thicker and expanded upward, worsened by last winter's ice and recent winds.Last year, the utility company installed a new replacement pole beside the old damaged pole. However, the old damaged pole has not been removed. There is no need for 2 utility poles right beside each other. Also, the damaged pole is going to continue to split and be a hazard.

    Wake Forest And Glascock St Raleigh, North Carolina - Blount Corridor
    Not really a sidewalk issue, other than the fact that it is beside the sidewalk, but no other category seemed appropriate... An old pipe or cable on the side of the telephone pole has become unattached and is hanging to the side. I don't believe is it still in use, but it is an obstruction (see photo).

    There is a water meter under the sidewalk in front of 822 Wake Forest. Water is slowly bubbling up from the meter cover and running into the street. It is not a fast stream of water, but a slow one that can be seen along the side of the road all the way down to the storm drain on Sasser St. It seems there might be a leak in the water pipes here.
