  • 161 Lexington Ave- Illegal Trespassing/ Tree Cutting New Haven CT - Downtown
Approximately 1 month ago, my neighbors and I witnessed people from 161 Lexington ave. trespassing from their backyard onto our property to cut down trees in a small patch of woods. We walked over and had a polite conversation with the owner explaining our property of our condo complex extends 50 feet beyond our fence. He said he understands and he won't come over there again. On Friday November 25th he had people back on our property cutting down trees. I pleaded for them to stop but my response was "no English" and the cutting continued. Furthermore, the owner is using his backyard for a commercial business, of which, he is not zoned for. My neighbors and I were willing to forget and forgive about damage already done and ignore the commercial business, however, the owner completely ignored our request to stay off of our property, which leaves me know other choice than to file our complaints.

Toxic sludge/ waste is being pumped out of building across from Ferraro's Supermarket. I saw it with my own eyes today. I frequently ride my bike to and from work and have seen and smelled this waste that smells like feces. This is right across from a housing complex and I see kids riding their bike through this as well. I also have to ride my bike thorough it. How the city allows this to happen is beyond me. It has been going on for some time now and if the city doesn't do anything about it I will call every environmental agency and health orginization I possibly can. The waste sits there day and night because I bike at all hours due to my work schedule. It Absoulutely disgusting that this is allowed to happen.

I reported illegal dumping here about a month ago and nothing has been done. Every year I would pick up the debris mysellf until last year because I now refuse to. In the past there has been environmentally damaging things such as car batteries, paint cans, spray paint cans and much much more. I can already see one of those big Gatorade jugs that sports teams use for the whole team, what looks like a baby carriage and other garbage being dumped over their fence into the treeline and even farther back into the woods. It was like pulling teeth to get something done last year and I don't have time to keep hounding the city. Start fining these people! Enough already, I'm sick of it. Any city official is welcome to come to my residence and look out my windows for themselves.

Every day I have listen to a rooster crow. I know they are not allowed in this area. Not long ago there were goats, chickens etc. living in a house on Rock Hill Rd. and the animals lived in squalor. I already made one call to LCI and as usual no one called me back. I must admit I'm not sure which house has the rooster because the animal is hidden, but it can easily be heard. I believe it is either 177 or 173 Lexington Ave.
