    So loud. So very, very loud. The amp just gets bigger and bigger. I know there's no will at the city to do anything about this. I'm beginning to think that this block of Fayetteville St is some sort of libertarian/anarchist civic experiment.

    This ground light along the walkway at the Alexander square parking deck between Fayetteville and Wilmington streets makes a loud electrical buzzing sound at night.

    Fayetteville Street just needs a plain, old fashioned anti-littering campaign. The level of trash down here is really unlike anything I've seen in any other large city center in America. Two "no-littering" signs with fines posted on either side of the block might start making a dent.

    While 227 Fayetteville Street is being remodeled, Market Plaza and the sidewalk in front are magnets for loitering. Last night there was a street brawl. Tonight, the same crew is out, about 15 people at various states of inebriation. They generate a huge amount of litter. Here's one suggestion for the city: pull up the benches around this property as long as it's vacant. And send a cop around every night after dark, on the hour.
