    Collapsed storm drain cover at curb beside Caribou Coffee. The street involved is actually John Humphries Wynd near the intersection with Duraleigh Rd.

    Several large plastic bags of trash were left at the corner after a park cleanup several months ago. They have faded from orange to green over time and people have added bits of litter to the pile.

    June 9, 2018 - This morning my wife and I utilized a large plastic tarp and rubber gloves to drag the bags up the street and into the park. We managed to stay mostly on grass and mulch and finally arrived at a dumpster where the bags and associated debris was deposited. I wonder how many city trash trucks have passed this corner since we reported the issue?

    Gates at tunnel under Wade Ave. were padlocked Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. Had to detour on busy streets to get downtown to work.

    At least as of Sept. 1 the pedestrian signals for crossing Lake Boone Trail at Blue Ridge Road has been out for about 2 weeks. It is a relatively busy crossing being near the hospital and a well used bus route.
