  • 507-513 Riverside Ave Medford, MA, 02155, USA - Medford

I just wanted to notify you that it looks like some of the recent road markings painted on Riverside Ave were done erroneously and ought to be corrected by the contractor.

Specifically, in the area in front of Panda Express/ Smashburger / Panera near the intersection of Riverside Ave and Fellsway, some of the painted yield triangles in the car travel lane meant to advise drivers to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk were installed upside down (like 🔺 instead of 🔻). Since they are to indicate a yielding action on basis of shape alone, the correct orientation is very important.

The affected areas are the two crosswalks closest to these GPS coordinates: 42.410260,-71.085826 (https://goo.gl/maps/R8HYvycbUNdEQ1wR8)

Thank you for your consideration! I wish I could have snapped a picture when I passed through earlier, but I was driving at the time.

  • 1845 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, MA, 02140, USA - Agassiz-Harvard
City vehicle blocking bike lane and bus stop plate M8433A
  • 190 Monsignor O'Brien Highway Cambridge, MA 02141, USA - East Cambridge
Massive accumulation of dirt in bike lane poses a slip hazard on a very tight left turn from rt28 to Water St.
  • Monsignor Obrien Hwy Cambridge, MA, 02141, USA - East Cambridge
Left turn from bike lane on the eastbound side of O'Brian Highway to Water St has a lot of sand/road debris in the bike lane at the sharp turn. This almost caused me to fall over on my bike making this very sharp left turn when the light was green for cyclists to take a left. Someone is likely to get very hurt here.
  • 49-53 Stanley Ave Medford, MA 02155美國 - Medford
Cars very frequently travel too fast down Stanley. Also, many trucks go down the street despite the no heavy trucking signs. A switch to two-way would be helpful to discourage trucks and speeding, as was done with the northernmost section of College Ave. The frequent driveways allow plenty of opportunities for cars to pass each other, similar to Windsor Rd.
  • Albion St And William St Medford, Massachusetts - Medford
Stop sign at William St when driving WB on Albion St is EXTREMELY hard to see. I have many times had to stop EXTREMELY hard because the sign only becomes visible at the last moment due to being covered by surrounding trees and cars. Also, the stop line is so incredibly thin and faint that it makes it hard to anticipate the intersection.
  • Somerville Ave And Beech St Somerville, Massachusetts - Somerville
Traffic light between Beech St and Somerville Ave is an unnecessary barrier for through traffic on Somerville Ave. Beech St is extremely low traffic due to the one-way configuration of surrounding streets. The light timing gives more-than-necessary priority to Beech St over Somerville Ave and makes passing through the area on Somerville Ave difficult.
  • Somervilel Ave And Sacramento St Somerville, Massachusetts - Somerville
This traffic light gives way too much priority to Sacramento Ave, a dead-end street, over Somerville Ave, causing immense backups along the already very congested Somerville Ave.
  • Park St And Somerville Ave Somerville, Massachusetts - Somerville
Traffic during evening rush hour (particularly since Beacon St construction) has been unbearable on Park St NB. The train of cars even backs up into Beacon St/Scott St, it's so bad. The traffic light needs to give a little more priority to Park St over Somerville Ave to prevent the immense backups.
  • Main St And South St Medford, Massachusetts - Medford
Traffic light on SB Main St/EB South St is not functional. This is very dangerous as yielding is no longer indicated.
  • College Ave At Boston Ave Medford, Massachusetts - Medford
The timing of the signal does not provide enough priority to College Ave southbound during rush hours in the morning and evening. There is frequently a very LONG train of cars along this narrow one-way road that takes multiple light cycles to traverse. This is not only an incredible nusence to the travelers, but also forces unnecessary car idling, which has a strong impact on the environment.
