  • Grand Pkwy Frontage Road & Rayford St. Spring, Texas - US Congressional District TX8

    To whom it may concern:

Vehicles often mistake the single left turn lane for a double left turn lane at Rayford. During construction, it had signage for a two-left turn lanes, but once completed, it was revised to a single left turn lane, but few people follow marked signage resulting in cars swerving to avoid illegal turning vehicles from right lane.

  • Grand Pkway Frontage Road Spring, Texas - US Congressional District TX8

    To whom it may concern:

I was very pleased when the new grand parkway opened near our neighborhood at Spring Trails near Grand Parkway Frontage Road and Rayford Road, but my neighbors and I have noted a disturbing trend. While the speed limit of 70mph seems reasonable for the tollway, our concern is the frontage roads.

Every day, afternoon, evening, and weekends, both commercial and personal vehicles regularly travel in excess of 60mph in the 45mph speed limit. Since this section of SH99 around March, I have seen little policing of these feeders and request that additional monitoring be added for the safety of residents and neighborhoods. There are several neighborhoods, local businesses, and major grocery store (HEB) on the frontage road heading east where vehicles have to enter from stopped. I've personally witnessed accidents, been tailgated, and seen several near misses on this road. I am concerned for my own and others safety each day on this road.

Let me know if I can be any help for following up.
